(TMZ) Interesting Kris Kristofferson's son has been signed by WWE. If he's lucky, they'll put him in a storyline only half as bad as Convoy   (tmz.com) divider line 79

Kris Kristofferson's 6'2", 230-pound BEAST of a son has finally begun his career as a WWE superstar ...

6"2" 230 lbs isn't exactly a "BEAST" in the WWE world. In fact he is a little on the small side for wrasslin.

Take away 10 pounds and those are my measurements and I won't be wrestling in WWE anytime soon.

Big Country? Seriously?

Your fighting nickname's already in use, man. And Roy Nelson's herculean physique ain't exactly the first thing you want people to think of when they hear your name.

Somehow, I think the article was speaking more to the size of his family members than other wrestlers.

1. 6'2'' 230lbs is not a very big wrestler. At least not anything worthy of being called BEAST.
2, The article writer seems to think he will be on RAW or Smackdown soon. Someone doesn't understand how WWE's developmental system works.
3. I wish Krisofferson the best in his future endeavors.
4. Is the lack of streams going to kill the fWc?

Honestly, if you check out the weekly WWE RAW threads here on FARK, most of the people who post in them admit that without the FARK threads and real time MSTing of the show, they wouldn't be watching.

/that's what you're missing by just watching with a couple friends... they probably don't know that WWE is for treating like a movie they show on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Nah, Gagne has a hard-on for Kristofferson... he liked what he saw even before he knew just who the kid was. I'm betting he'll make it up to one of the big shows within a year, make a big initial splash, get de-pushed and buried to see how he handles it, and they'll go from there.

As for the size... Well, many say Shawn Michaels was legitimately under 200 pounds during his original IC and World title runs, so size doesn't really matter as long as they use the guys correctly.

...and that's the major problem,.

Shawn was pretty small during his IC title days, but under 200? I realize most of these guys are billed as larger than they really are, and it was worse back then, but under 200 sounds like a stretch. 210-220 I'm guessing. He put on weight around the time he "lost his smile." I'm also curious about his drug use. Just what the hell drugs was he doing back it those days? Cocaine? Has he ever admitted to past steroid use?

i always thought "C.W. McCall" was actually a couple of ad guys from omaha. one went on to create the appalling mannheim steamroller and become extremely rich. if you listen to "convoy" (and i do, frequently) it sounds very much like a commercial jingle from the 70s -- especially the backing vocals.

Step 1) Become part of a group that works out with HHH
Step 2) Don't be Jericho
Step 3) Substances that "assist" but aren't on the banned list (unless Orton)
Step 4) SUCCESS!
Step 5) In 10 years don't pull a Macho Man with the boss's eldest if you want in the HOF

Mind you, I love the limes and the overabundance of them has been great, but I hope he didn't win over Jericho just because Mr. Hs wanted his first big move (basically part swerve part H trumps a good story idea)

"CW McCall" was Omaha ad-man William Fries. He released a few albums of trucker songs. Also a couple other songs, including ones about the Iran Hostage Crisis and George Brett's pine-tar incident. He later served as mayor in a town in Colorado.

I'm also pretty sure my dad and uncle both became truck drivers because of "Convoy" and the whole trucker/CB culture of the time.
My dad's CB handle was "9 Fingers." He also briefly was "Baby Huey" in the 70's.

Yeah, but SyFy has no meaning. It's not like it's a Sci-Fi channel or anything.

In fact, going by what the network airs, SyFy is all about ghost hunters, hunter ghosts, 2 hours of wrestling a week, and shiatty movies the 6 hours that Ghost hunting hunter ghosts aren't on.

I am a huge Kris, fan. The man who wrote bobby mcgee and sunday morning coming down. Who stole an army helicopter to give his demo yo Johnny Cash. Pure rock n roll country outlaw. Who does not give a shiat.

He was in a bad movie in the 90s called knights. Love that movie.

Kris plays an old grizzled cyborg who gets chopped in half and at one point says "drag dem legs over here, dere combatible with my circitry"
