And the Court's judgment: the plaintiffs have no case and no credible evidence, and there is no law to support their claims. Judgment for the defendant, represented only by an empty table, on the merits. Or in this case, utter lack thereof.

That has to sting. Brave patriots that they are, I hope they continue to waste idiots' money get the truth out.

Can't wait for the birther blogs on this one. They had projected so damn hard that Obama was already off the ballot they were already congratulating themselves and throwing parties. Also sad they couldn't find one expert to testify on their behalf.

They've lost in court over a 100 times now. Why do you think they will shut up now after this loss?

Does that ever happen? Does anyone ever lose to an empty chair? You challenge a ticket and the cop doesn't show up, you win.

My favorite parts:
They requested judgment on the merits, to try to get REAL judicial precedent in their favor, and if they'd left it alone, the judge would have issued a default judgment AGAINST Obama. Just had to have it, huh?

And...

Orly, counsel for the plaintiffs, testified. And was asked by the court to "submit any further testimony in writing" ("Shut the hell up").

GAT_00: Does that ever happen? Does anyone ever lose to an empty chair? You challenge a ticket and the cop doesn't show up, you win.

They demanded the judge go ahead with it. Default judgment isn't legally useful if you're trying to give other birthers a weapon.

An attorney representing President Obama submitted a brief letter to the judge outlining the settled nature of Mr. Obama's United States citizenship. Mr. Obama's presence was not actually required, despite the claims of "birther" individuals who, due to confirmation bias, failed to understand the actual legal requirements of the hearing.

Naturally. The weighted companion cube is infinitely more likeable than Taitz, and would easily sway a jury.

shiat, around here the courts stopped doing that because the police couldn't be arsed to go to court, ever, and municipal governments tanked it.

The weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab the judge and, in fact, cannot speak. Both of those features present significant advantages over Orly Taitz.

So they actually killed their own victory by demanding it be tried on the merits and not automatically defaulted to them. That's beyond hilarious.

No evidence suggests that a default victory would have occurred had Ms. Taitz not insisted upon presenting what she claimed to be evidence to the court.
