I have little sympathy with criminals as a general rule - but I have to say that I feel sorry for this poor bastard. Whatever horrible, loser-ass path of life must have brought him to this point, I shudder to imagine.

Same here. The guy must have some kind of serious mental problem, and should have had someone in his life to keep him from doing this kind of stuff. I mean, I'm still laughing at him, but feel guilty for doing so.
