I just can't find it sad. She lived to 110, and by all accounts, had a rich, full life and died quietly in her sleep.

Last week, I had an aunt die on her 99th birthday. Several cousins who called to say Happy Birthday were shocked to be told, "Sorry to tell you, but she just passed away."

I liked the fact that she lived to be that old and loved to eat sausages and butter sandwiches.

I never feel sad when old people die, that is anyone above 75. I don't hate old people but I just don't feel sad. I feel sad when young people die and especially sad when children die. I suppose it has to do with the fact that when people reach 75 or older they have lived a life and to be quite frank in most cases are only hanging on and would not be doing anything significant beyond that point.

I don't feel sad when someone drops their glass after finishing their beer and I don'ty feel sad when someone dies after having lived their life.
