There you go. My sympathy meter just reached zero. What the hell is wrong with people? There should be a class in grade school where they teach you to never sign things you don't understand.

Not that I disagree with you, but what is it about a man tricking a woman to have a baby that his wife can adopt makes you come to that conclusion?

Unless that was the plan all along, if the actual wife can't get pregnant. Actually adopting a kid is a long expensive process. Get someone pregnant and then either sue for custody or trick them into giving you the baby is free.

I'm guessing the baby is better off with the man and his real wife. I hope they'll raise the child in such a way that he/she will overcome the stupid genes he/she likely inherited from "Mom."

Unfortunately she can't afford to hire a lawyer as all her money is tied up overseas trying to collect the inheritance of a great uncle she never met but apparently was a king in Africa.

Zero sympathy. If you don't understand the legal paperwork, then don't sign. Find a lawyer, law clerk, etc. to help you understand it. Most cities offer free legal services for single moms. There is absolutely no reason to be that stupid.

a) I doubt the adoption will be upheld, considering how it was completely founded on fraud, this despite the fact that there's a contract since...
b) The idea of a contract is that once both parties agree to what's on paper, it becomes legally binding. Contracts can be overturned in court if one person didn't read it, or was tricked into signing without reading, etc.

I'm betting it was the plan all along. Pick some stupid, youngish woman, who already has one kid so you know she's fertile, and then take the baby. Maybe the wife even got to pick the woman, like ooh honey, go fark that one, you guys would give me a cute baby that my dead womb can't give me. I'm totally ok with this. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!!

Didn't check the guy out to see if he was really divorced.
Didn't check the guy out to see if he was really a DuPont.
Didn't suspect real C.I.A. guys rarely say "I work for the C.I.A."
Didn't make sure her pills were working and got knocked up.
Didn't read papers she was signing.
Didn't notice she was an idiot blonde.

All you have to do is tear off the tag on the back, and you can't refund it, right?

idea
in our culture?

We reached out to Dippold at his office and his home for his side of the story, but were not able to speak with him.
I'd reach out for him - and I can reach out about 400 yards and with a pretty decent velocity too.

I would bet it's been at least one episode of Law and Order with that plot along with a couple other of those similar type shows.

AFAIK it's only the retailers who cannot remove the tags once you buy the mattress you can remove the tag.

The tag is for the retailer, not the consumer. Why, I don't know.
