And this is why the man shouldn't get a say when it comes to abortions.

I'm surprised his wife was interested in adopting his bastard.

2012-02-03 11:56:33 AM
What an asshole..

2012-02-03 11:57:05 AM
Maybe she should have read what she was about to sign before signing it.

2012-02-03 11:57:42 AM
So a psycho and an idiot bred.

Gaffney says although she didn't understand the paperwork, she signed it anyway

There you go. My sympathy meter just reached zero. What the hell is wrong with people? There should be a class in grade school where they teach you to never sign things you don't understand.

Not that I disagree with you, but what is it about a man tricking a woman to have a baby that his wife can adopt makes you come to that conclusion?

cgraves67: I'm surprised his wife was interested in adopting his bastard.

Unless that was the plan all along, if the actual wife can't get pregnant. Actually adopting a kid is a long expensive process. Get someone pregnant and then either sue for custody or trick them into giving you the baby is free.

Or trust anyone, including people you're already having sex with and plan to marry.

Gaffney says her new love interest told her he was a businessman, divorced, worked for the C.I.A

Dumb woman is dumb...

I'm guessing the baby is better off with the man and his real wife. I hope they'll raise the child in such a way that he/she will overcome the stupid genes he/she likely inherited from "Mom."

2012-02-03 12:02:46 PM
What a piece of shiat.

2012-02-03 12:03:08 PM
"Gaffney says her new love interest told her he was a businessman, divorced, worked for the C.I.A. and was related to one of the most well-known, wealthiest families in the country." Why do people still fall for this shiat?

2012-02-03 12:05:07 PM
Unfortunately she can't afford to hire a lawyer as all her money is tied up overseas trying to collect the inheritance of a great uncle she never met but apparently was a king in Africa.

by day he is a CIA agent. By night he runs a taco truck.

Sounds like a good catch.

Zero sympathy. If you don't understand the legal paperwork, then don't sign. Find a lawyer, law clerk, etc. to help you understand it. Most cities offer free legal services for single moms. There is absolutely no reason to be that stupid.

Wife gave him a hall pass to knock up some chick and avoid adoption fees. And he pulled it off ...

If I had ten divisions of those men, then our troubles here would be over ...

Kristy Gaffney says she thought she'd found love when she met a man online.

Then Kristy Gaffney is a farking moron.

a) I doubt the adoption will be upheld, considering how it was completely founded on fraud, this despite the fact that there's a contract since...

b) The idea of a contract is that once both parties agree to what's on paper, it becomes legally binding. Contracts can be overturned in court if one person didn't read it, or was tricked into signing without reading, etc.

Wasn't this the plot to Juno?

The article said that a judge threw it out but that the guy is appealing the decision. No matter how naive, dimwitted, stupid, etc. she was, this guy is a colossal assbasket.

I'm betting it was the plan all along. Pick some stupid, youngish woman, who already has one kid so you know she's fertile, and then take the baby. Maybe the wife even got to pick the woman, like ooh honey, go fark that one, you guys would give me a cute baby that my dead womb can't give me. I'm totally ok with this. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!!

Girl:
Didn't check the guy out to see if he was really divorced.
Didn't check the guy out to see if he was really a DuPont.
Didn't suspect real C.I.A. guys rarely say "I work for the C.I.A."
Didn't make sure her pills were working and got knocked up.
Didn't read papers she was signing.
Didn't notice she was an idiot blonde.

Guy:
Engineered this whole scenario. Or is telling the truth.

DECISION---guy wins in landslide.

I thought it would be easy to keep a baby.

All you have to do is tear off the tag on the back, and you can't refund it, right?

You can't remove them under penalty of law, like a matress.

And people who oppose abortions should have their tax dollars pay for them.

had98c: You can't remove them under penalty of law, like a matress.

I've ALWAYS wondered about that. Why is that true? And why MATTRESSES specifically, of all things? Why is "removing a tag from a mattress" even an idea in our culture?

Not going to link to the actual song as I think it is the most terrible piece of music written.

CIA agent? really?
agree with Krymson Tyde, kid's screwed :(

We reached out to Dippold at his office and his home for his side of the story, but were not able to speak with him.

I'd reach out for him - and I can reach out about 400 yards and with a pretty decent velocity too.

I would bet it's been at least one episode of Law and Order with that plot along with a couple other of those similar type shows.

If that didn't send up a huge red flag for her she's a complete idiot. Also he's in the DuPont family(filthy rich) but needs to go to the internet to meet women?

AFAIK it's only the retailers who cannot remove the tags once you buy the mattress you can remove the tag.

The tag is for the retailer, not the consumer. Why, I don't know.
