I don't understand why it's even an issue. 4 years ago the guy kidnapped and brutally raped two women God knows how many times in the course of a week. Not to mention his previous convictions for brutal rape. Was he supposed to be getting out of prison already? Holy shiat if so.

Canadian law is a bit different -- he has already received his trial for his crimes this is an other trial to determine if he could be declare a "dangerous offender' under the law .

That would mean that they could hold him in jail till he dies ,, no matter what .

its an imposed life sentence even if the crime does not carry a life sentence...

It's a victory for provincial prosecutors who fought to see Cook removed from society until he can prove he's safe to be set free.


Hopefully their standard of "safe" is "dead for about a weak, starting to decompose, ok he can go free now".

Sure this guy deserves to be locked up the that psychopath test is complete bullshiat. Lots of perfectly 'normal' individuals have scored pretty high on that test, and there are a lot of ordinary convicts who have been denied bail based solely on their scores for that test.
