"The Super Bowl is a huge human trafficking event," said State Sen. Randy Head, (R-Logansport). "They're running sophisticated rings -- trading girls from city to city."
It would totally suck to get traded to Indy this year.

Why do I get the feeling the these human trafficking laws have nothing to do with prostitution and are really laying the foundation for prosecuting women if they cross state lines for an abortion?

lawmakers have the power to eliminate the demand by passing laws
The American democratic experiment could really use a control group at this point.

Experts say red flags include young girls, dressed inappropriately, who seem quiet, insecure and avoid eye contact.
Young girls who are dressed inappropriately should be acting boisterous and arrogant, while looking you in the eye.

This is completely fabricated, just something for the politicians to drum up support. Every year it's the same thing, and every year the cops say 'Nope, we've seen nothing new'.

Finally.
I wonder what took so long.
The country has already eliminated murder, robberies, and drug use by passing laws, it's about time they eliminated prostitution.
We're all safer today.

I don't know about that. But I work in a college, and the semester is three weeks old. We've had petition gatherers every damned day this Spring, like three or four stations in a small breezeway, with big signs that scream 'STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING!' as if putting my name on a piece of paper is going to do anything about that.

I'm pro-prostitution. This law is an outrage!
*reads article*
It is now against the law for anybody to arrange for a person to participate in any
forced
sexual act
the law makes it easier to prosecute those who sell
children
into sexual
slavery
The new law extends the definition of sex trafficking and increases penalties
(Less so with the last point, I need more information on that one)

I never realized it was difficult to prosecute those who sell children into sexual slavery. I always thought this is an easy prosecution and conviction.

Getting harder and harder for consenting adults to get laid. What happened to the good old days of the Wild West where this was all perfectly acceptable, controlled and considered a normal community service?

Watch out for the Super Bowl price gouging. Wait till half-time. Even though there is a supply glut, those kids won't be cheap.

It was funny here in DC during the inaguration all over the light post there were signs "prostitution free zone" and listed the penelties. I wanted to take one but they were all gone when I went to work the next day.
