Still my favorite scene in all of 30 Rockdom.
And for those not in the know, here's the scene the headline is referring to.

Correction: She never "axed" him for money.
Perhaps if she had learned how to speak properly, he would have been more inclined to assist her with her obvious money management problems.

Is it general knowledge that his mom did something awful to him, or are you just assuming she did? Basically, you are assuming that the mom is the asshole and not the son, and unless you know something I don't, there is no evidence that that is the case.

Nah, don't feel bad for my mom, we have a great relationship. Her willing to work multiple jobs to support my brother and I when we were young has been a great motivator in my life. To put it another way, my mom wouldn't be looking for a handout from me nor going to the media when I didn't give her one.

Beowulf was written in, and Chaucer wrote in, Saxonized Anglish...not Americanized English. Even with rednecks, and spanglish hispanics, it's still "ask".

Tracy Morgan talks about it in his autobiography
I am the New Black
. He had a rough upbringing and his mother was not supportive of him, and they've been estranged for over a decade. He did offer her a little money, but she declined it because she thought it wasn't enough.
Morgan has done some questionable things, so I'm not inclined to give him a free pass just because I like his character on a TV show. However, consider the situation: His mother is going to the media and drawing everyone's attention just to, essentially, talk shiat about her son. Doesn't that tell you everything you need to know about the woman?

I just read something about him too (I guess because of his book) and it sounds like he's not close to either his mother or his father, and hasn't been for a long time. I'm not going to judge him for that. I think he's kind of a weirdo, but whatever. Maybe he's lucky to be as normal as he is.

No. Sometimes you're a lot better off without your family members. If he gave her even a little bit of money, she might never leave him alone again. You don't have any idea what the situation is.

None of us really know what happened. Maybe she deserves this. But letting your mom go homeless and lose all her possessions is pretty heartless, and it paints Tracy Morgan in a bad light. He's the one who comes off as a dick in this, not his mom. After all, her life is clearly already shiat.

He offered to pay her mortgage payment, just not "pay off" her mortgage, so he's not exactly letting her go homeless.
