I don't disagree with you, T.M.S., but I'm curious--what are the "deadly serious," non-cheesy Broadway musicals? I'd put Caroline or Change in that category, but I'm not that familiar with a lot of musicals. What are some other ones?

T.M.S.: MrEricSir: T.M.S.: You are ignorant of Broadway shows. That is not a matter of opinion. It is evident in your own words.

You're still going with this? Dude, if you don't think Broadway shows are the pinnacle of cheese, you have something seriously wrong upstairs. Blaming me for your problems will not help.

How many examples of deadly serious Broadway musicals do you require to concede this foolish point?

It would save both of us time if you provided an actual number.

"Serious musicals." That may be the funniest concept I've heard all day.

Again, how many examples do you require?

That's a great example. A musical written by Tony Kushner is never going to be a barrel of laughs.

I await Sir Eric's target number before I craft a list.

As many as you want! Of course, when your examples invariably involve grown men wearing makeup and prancing around on stage while they sing, Fark will be laughing at your assertion that Broadway isn't the very epitome of cheese.

You continue to display an astonishing level of ignorance.

Rather than confuse you further, let's stick with gulley's example: "Caroline, or Change"

Please enlighten me how this musical could ever be considered "cheese".
