predle: spinach gunk: Predle, have any of your kitties ever tried going out in the snow, or have they always been indoor cats? I'm trying to imagine Juno farting about in the snow, and no matter how I do it, I can't stop giggling.

Juno's closest encounter with snow was when I brought in a bowl of it for them to check out. This was her reaction.

Now does she get 'brain freeze' or would you simply call it 'freeze'?

yobbery: I once worked at the service desk in a discount furniture store. A snooty rich-biatch customer came in and I can swear she was wearing this same hat and scarf (which is why this pic sparked the memory).
She refused to be waited on by anyone but a manager. When she arrived at the service desk this was the actual exchange between her and our decorator.

She left in a huff....we spent the rest of the evening breaking into fits of laughter.

I totally Lol'd! Thank you!

konekosama: one way we convinced the cats that they didn't want to go outside was to drop them into a huge snow bank. yes, mean, i know. but those cats flew like a bat out of hell in order to get back in and never bothered to ask to go out again.

I can attest to the fact that this actually works. When I bought my house, I thought that Merlin might like to try the great outdoors (he had been an apt. cat) - so we opened the back door and let him out (in the middle of the winter) and I let the screen door slam behind me by accident. Merlin promptly dove off the back deck, landed in a 3' snow bank and let out the most piteous howl I have ever heard. I carried him back inside, and while he continued to enjoy windows for the rest of his life, he would not get within 10' of a door if it was open.... maybe this is the way he remembered it

Isn't that Juno's reaction to most things?

Yeah, pretty much

Quite young jaguar at Brevard Zoo in Melbourne FL rather a while ago.

It promises/threatens to rain on Plumbicon's chorus's risers when we unload them 9AMish tomorrow.

Yep, 3 black.gray tigers and a brown tiger (her marks remind me of abyssinian). They're the Camelot crew: Arthur, Merlin, Gweneviere, and Morgana :)

Been going through old pictures and scanning a bunch into my family history album. And I came across pics of my long-lost cats...

i199.photobucket.com

This was Tovin. She was a stray that we took in, about a year or so after we moved into our house.

i199.photobucket.com

...And these are the kittens she had while she was here. I don't remember the names of the two in front, but I remember the black one. His name was Mittens.

i199.photobucket.com

Mittens was my favorite. The only problem was, we figured out that my little brother was getting allergic to the cats. So unfortunately, they "ran away." To this day I've never asked mom what that entailed; I can only hope they had awesome homes and lots of good treats.

\and yes, those are my AT-AT and Millenium Falcon, that was an awesome Christmas :P

could have ice in Richmond, Va. Google 'WXrisk'.. read the blog.. guy's name is Dave Tolleris.. knows his stuff.. and funny as hell sometimes.....scan down to earlier blogs yeah, he could use a proofreader sometimes.. seems to be into accuracy, rather than trying to be 'the first' report.. his company does long range forecasting all over the world....

Watching Merlin with half an eye; the series, not the mewbie at TheIceQueen's.
