Jets now at PeytonCON 4

"Mark Sanchez is Mark Sanchez," Burress said.
"The Jets locker room is the Jets locker room," he said.

Plaxico is Plaxico.
A bullet in the chamber is worth two in the foot.

I'm still waiting for Sanchez, Leinart, and Palmer all to wind up on the same team, which will then draft Barkley

He did well with the Spartans....

Man, you know you're a terrible QB when somebody pointing out your identity is a sick burn.

Classic Plax. He sits in jail for two years due to being a complete idiot, somehow gets paid $3 million to play a game, and now is biatching about it. Go join TO in whatever league he just signed with. Douche.

Plax is Plax.

"Mark Sanchez is Mark Sanchez," Burress said.

When he was asked if he was happy with how his year with the Jets went, he said, "It went as it went."

"The Jets locker room is the Jets locker room," he said.

---------------

the greatest "it is what it is" was pulled off by Simeon Rice, I believe at the TB/Oakland Super Bowl. NFL Network shows it from time to time. I forget the precise quote, but it is damn near this:

"it is what it is, but sometimes it is what it isn't. But we are who we are, and we know what we can be."

Friends, Lennon and McCartney and Dylan, if put into a room, coulnd't write taht shiat. And your boy Sim-Dog pulled it off ad hoc.

It is what it is
But sometimes
It is what it isn't
But we are who we are
And we know
What we can
Be.

The Tao of Simeon

The Bestest: Jets now at PeytonCON 4

the sad thing is. All this bad news, bad publicity, and the whole damn load of crap the Jets are facing, may actually force them to pursue him. Which in my eyes would be a terrible idea. We cant afford him, and were not even sure what hes capable of. Sanchez has a new OC. No more excuses. Put up or shut up, and then we will move on. I'd rather sacrifice a year than grasp at straws with peyton.

Just guessing here, but I'd assume that 90% of WRs in the NFL are black. I don't think race has anything to do with it.

I damn near celebrated when I found out Plax was not coming back to the Giants. Now I'll be happy to see him shoved out of the city.

And the Jets would be idiots if they didn't give a potential franchise QB like Sanchez time to grow and learn. He has given them two playoff victories all ready, taken them to the AFC conference championship twice. He had difficulties but so did the whole team, they still have an even mark this season and showed flashes of being very good. He has not had the right people around him to succeed. I think he'll do better with a full off season and better coaching. I really like him, and it would be insane to get rid of him just to bring in the ball of wax and cash Peyton brings with him for a year or two.

I knew. I saw him last season in a couple of preseason games and he looked fantastic. I was bummed he was hurt last year. really glad the Giants didn't give up on him.

We had Nicks and Manningham so I was not worried. Someone would step up. We're just very lucky that Cruz turned on the God Mode and opened up the field. THey can cover two, but three is too much for most teams.

Yeah I remember the preseason games, but I never actually watch them or attach meaning to them beyond "Awesome, he didn't get hurt." Should have in this case.

If anything it sounds to me like he was specifically trying to avoid biatching. The interviewer tried to push the issue and Plax didn't go with him.

Many people suspect that Plaxico was one of the unnamed players in the Daily News story blasting Sanchez.

Looks like it's 8% for all players. I'd venture a guess that RB and WR are two of the outliers for that ratio, as is QB on the white side.

His numbers are pretty similar to where Eli was at the same point in his career. And the whole offense stuck - the offensive line was terrible so they had to keep Keller in to block most of the time. The run game was almost non-existent. And for all his biatching, Plaxico was slow as shiat and was terrible out there - he has no burst anymore and can't get separation from a DB without pushing off.

I think that 8% quote is wrong. A 53 man roster would mean about 4 players per team is white. Almost all kickers, punters and qbs are white. Then there are the offensive linemen, tight ends and fullbacks. So I'm calling shenanigans on that number.

2012-02-02 05:46:44 PM
I'm not saying the o-line, TE, and FBs are majority white btw.

FTFY.

I think Jets fans just need to accept that we've got (at least) 1 more year of the Mark Sanchez experience, whether we like it or not. Even if the whole Peyton situation leads to him playing somewhere else, why would he choose to go to the Jets and deal with that whole mess? I just wish they would shut the fark up already and just keep the shiat in the house.

The Jets sent 3 linemen to the Pro Bowl this year, but anyone who watched the games could tell that Wayne Hunter was so terrible that it just didn't matter. Hell, he and Ducasse could be the worst farking linemen I've ever seen. Shore up the RT position in free agency, and we might actually give Sanchez a chance in hell of improving.

Well, we assume there is only 1 kicker on a team, 1 punter, and 2 (possibly 3) QBs.

Meaning 5/53 (or 9%) of the roster is almost certainly white. The other positions you mentioned are probably favorable to white dudes, but not by a whole lot. Of course there are exceptions to this rule, like the Philadelphia Eagles, who only have black QBs on the roster.

Either way, taking the demographics of the population of the US into account, 12.2% of the population reports to the census that they are "Black or African American" yet the population of the NFL is most likely (at a generous estimation) the reverse of that.

What was my original point? I don't even remember anymore. Whatever.

The HC really has a strong influence on player's behavior. I'm not surprised much about how the Jets are turning into a media quote circus.
