Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

Sounds like the mindset of the typical conservative Political tab farker.

Well, of course he tried to move the ambulance: He had to be at the gym in 26 minutes.

In fairness, the guy did have a farmers market to get to

Well, thank you Y100 Miami for letting me know that the crazy man's phone number is not in the phone book

There are lots of people like that, they most often manifest as people who, in a retail environment, feel that they do not need to wait in line like everybody else in order to be served

Monster? Not human? Shoot him? I think we all agree that he's a giant douchebag, but apparently moderation doesn't exist in society anymore.

It does so. You should be killed for saying otherwise.

The local EMT's that frequent the same coffee shop I do always illegally park their ambulance right up to a fire hydrant. It bugs me, but I'm glad to see some of them get the boot.

I'm certain, in his mind, he only thought "vehicle blocking mine.....move it."

I REALLY hope that my mind never gets to the point where my perception of the world shrinks down such that this kind of action makes sense.

it's not a matter of "I Don't like you" it's a matter of a grown man seeing a life saving vehicle, with paramedics loading someone into it, and thinking "fark that I don't have 5 minutes" then proceeded to; at minimum delay and at worst run down, someone in need of EMS and the personel loading the person onto the vehicle."

That kind of attitude shows the person has no humanity or even a shred of decency.

That's the same attitude someone might have to shove someone infront of a subway just so they can get closer to the door, someone who would take food from a starving baby because they wanted a snack. In short the sort of person who sees no value in the humans around them and is thus dangerous to society.

2012-02-02 01:04:26 PM
His consequence should be, the next time he needs an ambulance, it will be delayed circling the block, looking for a place to park that won't inconvenience anyone.

If you shoot him they will just call yet ANOTHER ambulance that will block even MORE traffic.

Think man. THINK.

out back behind the courthouse, where they determine if he's a big a monster the article makes him out to be, with a jury of his "peers".

CSB: When I was like 23, I came out of a townhouse I was renting/sharing and there was a car mostly blocking our side of the driveway, and another carelessly parked next to it blocking the other side. I had to get to work pronto, so I scrawled a note (no cursing just letting them know I was annoyed) and put it under the wiper and then very carefully pulled around, going onto the grass and nearly hitting the mailbox.

Turned out the next door neighbor, decent old guy, had died in the night, they were church and community members who had rushed over to help the widow deal. They left a kind note and a little gift basket "for my trouble". Man I felt like the biggest turd.

perhaps, but then he'd ponder the question of why he should make time for emergency vehicles while he grows cold on the pavement as he bleeds out.

People are so stupid. Several years ago, I had a medication reaction and had to be taken from work in an ambulance. On the way to the hospital, the ambulance broke down and traffic started piling up. The drivers in the cars behind us started honking and cursing and generally acting like assholes. It was ridiculous.

The ambulance service sent another one to come and get me so I could get to the hospital. When they opened the back door and started transferring me, I took the opportunity to flip off some of those idiots.

I'd rather see him hooked up to defibrillator paddles. The paddles will be hooked up to a modified Guitar Hero guitar. Every time someone presses a button on the guitar, it sends a signal to the defibrillator which in turn shocks the person hooked up to the paddles.

Hook him up, que up Reign in Blood and let the laughs begin.

It's pretty simple. We are still wild, but live in a regulated construct, which presents seemingly endless restricitions on movement, behaviour, thought and expression. People get sick of it and sometimes express that in the wrong way at the wrong time.

So we were down at the waterfront for a boat on fire. I was driving the first-due engine. We pull up and stop at the access to the marina and the guys start pulling hose. I'm in the back helping unbed the hose as the second-due engine arrives, grabs a hydrant and lays a supply line to me. The second engine driver connects the supply line to my intake and calls for the hydrant to be opened. Just then, I hear a bunch of yelling, and I look around the side of the engine to see this:

img651.imageshack.us

Turns out, the guy didn't want to take the time to go around the block and weaved between police cars and fire apparatus and was straddling the 5-inch line just as the water started coming through. He was stuck there for a couple of hours.

People are self-centered assholes.

Mt. Juliet police told The Tennessean that paramedics heard the engine start and were able to stop 65-year-old Warren Melamed before he could move the ambulance.

Police believe old-fartism was involved, ask Melamed to get off their lawn.
