I can't wait for IHOP to market their new "Romney Waffles" - flavorless, expensive palettes on which you can provide any topping that suits the moment.

"We will never go after Medicare or Social Security, we will protect those programs," Romney told a crowd full of seniors. "f I'm president, I will protect Medicare and Social Security for those that are currently retired or near retirement, and I'll make sure we keep those programs solvent for the next generations coming along. We will protect America's seniors and America's young people with programs that are designed to keep them well and safe. And I will make sure that we protect Medicare and Social Security."

In 7th grade, I ran for class vice-president on the promise that every school dance would have a theme. I won. However, I never really followed through on my dance theme platform.

I think his strategy is clear: Have a different position on everything so that you appeal to everyone. I don't know that it will work out if the average idiot catches on but then again half the population is borderline retarded.

I don't think that even Mitt has enough money to buy the votes he needs to win a general election.

And compare turnouts between 2008 and 2012 primaries in Florida. Over 200,000 less people turned out.

I mean, I know that in 4 years a lot of old Republicans might have passed on, but 200,000 of them?

I have no doubt he'll actually keep that one, though. It's more of the "Don't worry, we'll pay you what you're owed, but fark the kids."

I really, honestly believe that Georgia might be in play for Obama. People would be surprised to know he polls as well there as he does in Pennsylvania or Ohio. He only lost the state 52-48 in 2008, by a margin of just 200k votes. They've added 240k new voting eligible latinos in the last four years alone. As Mitt veers more left in the general, he's going to alienate a huge segment of the redneck far right conservatives, especially if he piles on hometown boy Newt.

So, Obama not only wins he resoundingly covers the spread?

If I didn't know better, I might think it sounds like he wants to end Medicare as we know it.

What would be the point? They know that the Republican candidate has already been chosen, by the media, the rich, and the GOP.

Sounds like Romney wants to take your tax-dollars to give free-ride entitlements to Floridians. I thought we were in a budget crisis?

...and shouldn't new ones turn 18?

The low turnout is a truly bad sign for the Republicans.

Indeed. You would think by how much they are beating the anti-Obama war drums a record number would have voted to make sure the "right" candidate goes into the fight against Mr. Obamanation. Guess not....

How many of the party's views reflect the views of most 18 year olds? I'd expect the number of Republicans to drop over time.

But yeah, the choice between douchebag and shiat sandwich would lead to a certain amount of voter apathy...

I remember you from my 7th grade class. I even submitted a potential dance theme to you: "26 Things To Do With Petroleum Jelly."

You're a bastard. I wept with joy when your reign of terror finally came to an end.

the republicans had 12% fewer voters
in a state with a rising population.

and of course the primary really only
represents 9% of the Florida Population.

and with less than 1.7 million votes, how much did Mitt and Newt spend per vote? $12...$15?

It's not that they're borderline retarded, it's that no matter what he promises, he's still a white guy, and that matters most.
