(WTSP) Florida Apparently, the idea of pretending to be a federal agent and pulling people with Ontario plates who visit strip clubs so you can check their car for bombs hasn't gotten old in Hudson   (newportrichey.wtsp.com) divider line 37

It must be horrible to live like that. Constantly in fear. Constantly questioning whether anyone from other places or different colored skin is a terrorist.

This man has to be mentally ill of some kind. There's just no logic to it.
Ontario? Really?? And why would a terrorist be in Homosassa?

I'm not anti-gun, necessarily, but perhaps it's a good idea to keep guns away from the mentally ill.

A 22 Magnum? Definitely crazy. Don't use less than 380 ACP when searching for bombs.

Sounds like exactly the kind of guy they are looking for. He doesn't give a rat's arse about anyone's privacy, rights, or the law.

If we did that then who would loose most of our police force right?

I think it's suspicious that a Canadian visits an American strip-club. Don't you guys have a g-string law or something?

2012-02-02 12:11:25 PM
This is only a valid tactic when used against people with Quebec plates.

They do, but it has to be diagnosed. It is illegal for someone who "Has been adjudicated as a mental defective or committed to a mental institution," to receive, transport, etc a gun. It is one of the things the NICS checks for when a background check is conducted on purchase. However as you might note, the law requires that the person has actually been found crazy, not just "Has crazy eyes," like the guy in the story.

I have no doubt that this gut is, as they say, crazier than a shiathouse rat. However if it hadn't been diagnosed, nothing you can do.

That aside the felony conviction he is about to get will keep him from legally owning guns.

FTA: The deputy found a .22 magnum handgun on Tarochione, as well as a .22 caliber long rifle revolver along with a 16-gauge shotgun and lots of ammunition in Tarochione's vehicle.

Tarochione was arrested for impersonating a law enforcement officer and was taken to Land O'Lakes Jail.

So I guess he had a permit to carry the handgun on him?

Normally when you are impersonating law enforcement, don't you try and avoid real law enforcement? It takes a special degree of crazy to voluntarily call 911 and get someone sent to your location to arrest you. Well, I guess he didn't really plan the "arresting him" part, but still...

Great reporting!

Yeah, they took the nutball to jail, but what did they do with the terrorist from up north?

Wow, it's a good thing they caged that mental illness so it won't get out.

How and where are the patrons being pulled? Is this slang for a handjob?

They arrested him after he left the strip club for trying to put Canadian dollar coins into the slot. He was heard asking the police officer, "Where else was I supposed to put them? They kept falling out of the g-string."

Land O Lakes jail? Why the hell is a jail in Florida named for an agricultural cooperative based in Arden Hills, MN?

XveryYpettyZ: Land O Lakes jail? Why the hell is a jail in Florida named for an agricultural cooperative based in Arden Hills, MN?

My Nana and Papa (grandparents) owned a vacation property in Land O Lakes, FL. With a huge swamp bordering the back of the property. Full of alligators.

We have a photo of them wading in the swamp to clean it up and make it look more like a pond than a swamp.

The idea of people like this with firearms scares the bejesus out of me. I honestly don't understand how you guys can tolerate it so dismissively.

To be honest, that's just a random collection of guns to me. I don't think I know anyone who even has a 16 gauge shotgun or even .22 handgun.

Very few Quebec folks end up in the Pasco/Hernando area. Lots of Ontario. DOnt even get me started on the old farks from Michigan. I feel like asking one of them if theres anyone left in Michigan, or if they are all in west Pasco.

So glad Im in SC setting up a place to live, hopefully have my family out of FL within a week.

America, where we deny medical assistance to the mentally ill, bombard them with paranoid half truths to get them riled up and then toss them in jail when they start acting wacky.

F*cking disgusting.
