Apos: What's the imbecile's FARK handle?

I could reveal my guesses, but that's a violation of the ToS.

So I'll go with Studman69 as my guess.

Is that 85% of rape, or 85% of rape rape?

The distinction is important.

Rape.

Lesbianism?

Let's see...4 out of 5 participants enjoy gang rape so these number are pretty close.

I'd find this offensive if I didn't find it so funny.

Estelle Hart, national women's officer for the National Union of Students, has called for the website to be shut down for its "misogyny".

While I'd love to see the authors on this site suffer many unfortunate things, freedom of speech is still around.

In other news, Plymouth University has no friggin' clue as to the extracurricular activities of their students, and the parents of the Plymouth student are going to be pissed when the school bounces him out on his ass.

If they go unreported how does one collect statistics on it?

Does she lick a lot of carpet.
Does she havet a Indigo Girls CD? The guy at the record store said it was perfect.
Does she have killer Birkenstocks.

"This is a bunch a' crap! I've been licking this carpet for three hours and I still don't feel like a lesbian!"

Freedom of speech, yes. Freedom of consequences for that speech, no.

You can be a misogynistic asshole all you like - just don't be surprised when you're kicked out of the university for it.

Field trials. Rape 10 women and see how many police reports come of it.

My Not CSB. I was hanging with some ladies a while back and this subject came up and prolly 85% of them had rape-esque stories (attempted, full on, and poorly attempted).

Personal experience? You know, commit a statistically significant number of rapes, see how many you get charged with.

I have no issue with the kids getting bounced. I'm betting when they enrolled they agreed to a code of conduct. They broke it and now they're done. However there is still no reason at all to call for the site to be shut down.

First off -- if one is expelled from university for the speech they make, the university can't exactly be said to support free speech.

Secondly -- this is the UK. They don't have free speech over there. You can be jailed based solely on expressing views the majority find offensive.

If it involved a telemarking firm selling something, a denial of service attack would probably ensue.

However, these are the guy whose ancestors sent the Pilgrims packing across the pond due to their unholy shenanigans.

Are we talking rape, or the less acceptable "rape-rape"?

/whoopi said rape twice.

Wikipedia: A 2007 government report in England says "Estimates from research suggest that between 75 and 95 percent of rape crimes are never reported to the police."[6]

So, yeah: the f'ing gov't says there are good odds 85% of rapes go unreported.

So what's the problem? Does she not understand the phrase 'good odds'?

First, when has anyone ever argued that freedom of speech is insulation from all consequences? If the University boots them for breaking the code of conduct, that is fine. If their host kills the domain for breaking the host's policy on content, that's fine. There is a difference through between those things though and demands in the vien of "They published something that offends me! Delete their site NOW!".

Secondly, just because someone says freedom of speech doesn't mean they're just trotting out the American Bill of Rights version. Look at how things like SOPA/PIPA/the EU version of said bills/etc were a global issue. Internet censorship is internet censorship. If the UK government thinks they have the right to charge these kids with something, let them do it. Random biatching about being offended and demanding deletion of the site is still unacceptable censorship though.

Just curious what country you live in.

Here in the US, getting kicked out for your speech is pretty much a definition of not supporting free speech. Maybe it's different elsewhere, I guess I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case in Oceania.a href=

You really need a lager pool of rape victims to get an accurate statistic. I think you would need to rape 10,000 women and then see how many report it.

I don't know what's more pathetic: the guys who run that website, or the fact that people think they should be able to shut down a website because they don't like what it says.
