Give her six quavers, then pause.
She sent us four quavers, a group of five quavers, a group of four semi-quavers...
What are we saying to each other?
It seems they're trying to teach us a basic tonal vocabulary.
It's the first day of school, fellas.
Take everything from the lady. Follow her pattern note for note.

They should do that as a halftime show for a night game.

I can't believe the Clink let them do this, that was freakin sweet. I'd love to find out about the process involved.

Time lapse.
The lights have about a 20 minute re-strike time from off to on.

Well I gathered that much, I was just more curious about whether they programmed the whole thing into computers, set a bunch of cameras up around the stadium, and hit record, or whether it was a manual process over a couple days, or what.

I believe the name of the company that operates CLink is First and Goal Inc.

The video ended at 2:02 for me, so I didn't get to see the part where it starts getting "awesome."

Anyone have a link to the awesome part?

And what is up with the shiatty music, anyway?

2012-02-02 12:18:23 AM
Congratulations that is the worst piece of "music" I've ever heard. You win.

fark you dubstep, fark you right in the goat ass.

That was pretty cool I suppose.

We Seattleites just have to take what we can get in terms of cool sports moments.

Our only male pro sports team with a World Championship was bought by a shady jackass and moved to Oklahoma.

The Mariners haven't sniffed the playoffs since 2001.

The Sea-Chickens are what they are. (Went to MNF and got to see them beat up The Rams. My daughter's soccer team could beat the Rams.

No NHL team here even though hockey is big here and Key Arena is now only booked for WNBA games, concerts and ice capades.

At least we have the Rat City Roller Girls!

/Thank goodness we paid off Safeco Field last year.

//Too bad my 5th grade daughter will still be paying off the Kingdome when she reaches working age.

How the hell is it that Jungle, Trance, or Breaks never made it but all of the sudden this dubstep bullshiat gets big? Proves my theory, people are idiots.

I'm guessing it was made with hundreds of still photographs.. then animated as needed like a stop-motion video. Really cool that they were given access to the stadium to make this.

And yeah, Seattle rules.

It's called redundant video editing of simple time lapse shots.

Maybe people just have different tastes than you.. I didn't particularly like this song, but some dubstep has a unique quality that appeals to me on occasion. I liked it before I realized it was a new thing and before it became cool to hate it.

Dubstep is what happens when you are to f-ed up to realize you're spinning your jungle records on 33. This is what happens when you do it right.
Oh man, I sure miss the 90s. (new window)

I'm thinking, that they shot a bunch of footage of the lights going on and off, and then made it 'move' by the editing.

For example, there is a shot of the two red single lights that mark the top of the building blinking to the music. Those lights blink on their own, it's not controlled, so that makes me think a lot of this is editing.

It's incredibly cool, I really like it.

Simple, people figured out that the booming gamer generation are easy pickings, and focused Dubstep towards them. See: Bawls, Razer, and a host of other crappy products that survive because they're marketed solely to gamers.

Yes, Razer sucks. So does Alienware. Deal with it.

I think it might be fun to see a mashup of this and CE3K intercut. Have the CE3K ship hovering over the field. And in the background instead of Devil's Tower, it could be Mt. Rainier, or both. It could end with some effects from The Natural.

35 years since CE3K came out, and we've only made it to black and white dubstep stadium tonology.

I actually thought the dubstep in this video was the best use of dubstep I've seen, and that most of it is unlistenable toilet sounds.
