If the content of truTV was any more moronic it would be on the History channel

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff.

I'm not saying it was time travelers, but it was time travelers.

that 'iphone scene' from Fort Apache is ridiculous. He's obviously using one of those fold open notebooks and reading out of it. Come on internet. I expect more out of you.

In the movie he flipped through the notepad really fast so I bet they were actually playing Angry Birds.

I think any network that cannot spell out true, cannot be bothered to make sure their shows are true.

VonHelton the Time-Traveling Vampire.

How is that no obviously photoshop?

I mean, you can go to a fair and take one of those sepia-toned old-timey photos.

It is kind of cool how the slideshow just goes from "ridiculous time travel stories" to "Why it sucks to be in a Mexican drug war". Just perma-slideshow, a bad websites dream.

This is undeniably true. However, what isn't generally known is that John's first stop after arrival was a Stuckey's bathroom. I had to wait outside in a dumpster.

JerseyTim: John Titor told me about this article a few years ago.

If you hear from him please let me know. Alternatively you could just come dig me up from this godforsaken hole he buried me in.

You could take a picture of my father when he was 18 and hold it up to me when I was 18, and we look damn near identical. If not photoshopped, then someone spent a lot of time looking for photos that looked like him in family albums and historical records.

I once drank a 5th of rum and woke up in the future. I was scared. Also time travel causes you to pee yourself and throw up on yourself.

A strange thing with TruTV is that they have a single-page-version of their slideshows on their server, but don't seem to make it available.
If you add an "all" to the URL, you get a single page with everything on it:

Yeah, when I got to that I was wondering how that was going to be tied into to time travel... the car, found after 30 years, or ...

I used to live not too far from a time zone line. Would just walk across, check sports scores, walk back and place bets. Made mad cash, homey.

I'm not so sure I buy into all this. I recently read somewhere that in a single rotation of the Earth sphere each Time corner point rotates through the other 3-corner Time points, thus creating 16 corners, 96 hours and 4-simultaneous 24 hour Days within a single rotation of Earth, so I'm kind of hesitant to believe any stories about ONEGod time travel.

It was most excellent.

The distances involved are crazy. If you just traveled in "time", you would travel to the same absolute point in the universe, 40 years ago. Think of how many billions of miles you'd have missed the earth by. According to The Internets, our galaxy is moving at 900,000 miles per hour towards Hydra. That'd be 315,360,000,000 miles off the mark, unless your time machine is a kick ass FTL ship too.

shiat, I never ever considered distance traveled when considering time travel.

My sci-fi vision of time travel has been altered.

I thought space and time are intertwined. IE, a time machine is the same as an FTL drive.

But(and forgive me, my physics is rusty) take those "light cones".

Time traveling past where the light was emitted means you've reached beyond that point in time and space, you've moved to before the event. It's almost as nonsensical as asking "what was before the Big Bang", except we do have a before we are trying to reach and entropy would have had to decrease in the entire universe and I think my brain just refuses to conceptualize this any longer.
