Okay but we get to vote for gay marriage for my birthday, because I think that would be super special.

Holy crap.
My 10 yr old is smarter than this kid.

This why we don't let 14 year olds drive, vote or drink.

It's so immeasurably sad to witness children who carry this much hate with them as they enter the world.

No, that's hate. It sound less vile from the mouth of a child, but it is hate.

sweetmelissa31: Okay but we get to vote for gay marriage for my birthday, because I think that would be super special.

Well, you ARE super special. But, you live in Godless Taxachusetts where the minions of Satan already have won this fight, even with Mittens in office to sign off on it. You are free to kiss all the girls you want. Though, to be fair, if you photographed them, you might see your profile counter blow up...

To topic though:

Explain to me, O Brave Pioneers, what someone else's marriage, in a church of their choosing, has to do with YOUR marriage?

Don't want a gay marriage? Don't have one.

And reposted, for relevance...

Top Ten Reasons to Make Gay Marriage Illegal

01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all like many of the principles on which this great country was founded; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of marriages like Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I actually moved to less-godless-but-still-basically-godless Rhode Island. I see you're back in Taxachusetts, though.

While we're at it, how is it even possible that this 14-year old was allowed to testify? Who arranged this? What value does her testimony have, since she wasn't raised by a same-sex couple?"

2012-02-01 01:36:30 PM
NowhereMon: Who the fark thought that letting a 14 year old testify would enlighten this situation at all?

A bigot.

If the same words came out of the mouth of an adult, everyone would see how blatantly vile and hateful it was.

Imagine an adult saying "oh please deny those queermosexyals their rights, because it would be, like, the bestest birthday present ever!" You would laugh in their face and tell them to f**k off.

But when a kid says it, you might think "oh how cute, a bigot-lett."

The bigots realize that they can use their kids to spout their hateful drivel, even though they would be mocked if they said the same things themselves. That's why they brainwash their kids in the first place.

From TFA:

"This is the kind of ludicrous stupidity that comes when children are home schooled," he wrote. "by and large, home schooled kids are subject to an education of their parents' making and that means they can be brainwashed like this 14-year-old."

"While we're at it, how is it even possible that this 14-year old was allowed to testify? Who arranged this? What value does her testimony have, since she wasn't raised by a same-sex couple?" Bash added. "Perhaps they'll have a 13-year-old weigh in on the healthcare debate next?"

Now THIS is the kind of refreshing honesty this country needs more of. And exactly WHY was this little twit allowed to testify?

It is essentially a college town, and sort of quiet. The Inn is closed because of Irene, so I'm casting around for gigs around Rochester. Is nice to be back in civilization after Phoenix and the wilds of Colorado. It was gorgeous, but that side of the country be crazy...

//NOW the end of the threadjack. Can we laugh at bigots still?

Exactly. This is the exact same thing an adult of her views would say, but from them you realize how theocratic and authoritarian it would sound:
" don't want any more kids to get confused about what's right and OK."

"People have the choice to be gay, but I don't want to be affected by their choice," Sarah continued. "People say they were just born that way, but I've met really nice adults who did change."

"So, please vote no on gay marriage."

I thought I heard Rhode Island was surprisingly God-y in the stories about the teenage atheist who the whole state hates.

What continues to amaze me is that these bigots are under the impression that preventing gay marriage will somehow prevent gay sex. The arguments against gay marriage (at least the ones that are at all coherent) all seem to be linked to sexual activity, which is bizarre.

Gays are going to have gay sex, whether they are married or not.

(In fact, if the experience of straights is any indication, opponents of gay sex should support gay marriage!)

PS: there is a strip club/hotel in downtown Providence. I walked passed it once and saw a man parked in front of it, masturbating in his car.

Well, she does seem to know that having two sodomites for parents is really, really bad and she feels really, really sorry for those poor kids who do. I'm still not sure I understand how this would be somehow worse if those sodomite parents were able to get married, but I'm sure that she could clearly explain it to us with the kind of flawless logic she's already exhibited.

"People have the choice to be gay, but I don't want to be affected by their choice."

That's deep.

People have the choice to be gay.

And I do not want to be affected by their choice.

However.

Homophobes do not have the choice to be homophobes.

Homosexuals must be affected by that choice.
