So does this mean that MSNBC is going to take both of them out?

Or something?

These guys whine too much, the middle class are just trying to lower their tax burden like you super rich guys do. You must know the game is about invoking an emotional reaction, ya'll human trash use those tactics all the time as a way to divide us in the middle class. It's only business, pal.

Fox News essentially owns the WSJ since Murdoch bought it and turned it into the partisan rag it is now.

I would think all presidents have a so-called enemies list in some form or fashion.

It's getting harder to tell the difference between WSJ editorials and what is found on the blogs of WND and Newsmax.

Former Bush solicitor general (and one of the attorneys litigating a pro-gay marriage case) Theodore Olson thinks that President Obama's targeting of oil magnates David and Charles Koch is unfair - comparing it Richard Nixon's 'enemies list' or Joseph McCarthy's red baiting.

Ah yes, the old "compare him to one of ours" attack.

"This is Obama's Katrina!"
"This is Obama's 'No new taxes!'"
"This is Obama's Nixon's enemies list!"

That's why they used to have the Floor Humping Man on WingNutDaily and Newsmax. So you could easily tell the difference.

The WSJ is worse because it had credibility. The derp is seriously hurting their image in the eyes of people who know about business and economics. Most prominent economists in the country disagree with most of their opinion derp.

I have no idea what point you're trying to make here, but as a part of the "middle class" I am not trying to reduce my tax burden. I am happy to pay the amount that I do, I believe that the services I receive and the service that tax money goes to help my fellow Americans is worth the small price I pay. I simply want the people who are rich enough to have gamed the system to pay at least what I do.

Funny thing is if the middle class did come together and hire lobbyists they'd have much, much more money to bribe these politicians than all the special interests combined.

The super wealthy donating to Romney are not, they want to pay less and for you to pay more. Each year my property taxes go up and fees go up because the cost of government goes up while these kinds of people fight to pay less and less. So when do you become unhappy because it isn't like you've been paying the same every year.

How would you feel if aides to the Republicans in Congress singled you out by name for attack, and if you were featured prominently in their re-election campaign as an enemy of the people?

What would you do if the Republicans engaged in derogatory speculative innuendo about your education, friends, and teachers? Suppose also that the Republicans' surrogates and allies in the media regularly attacked you, sullied your reputation and questioned your integrity. On top of all of that, what if a Republican judge in Georgia demanded that you, the President, show up in person to defend yourself against baseless accusations regarding your birth certificate, for which you have repeatedly-and accurately-released true copies?

Consider that all this is happening because you have been selected as an attractive political punching bag by the Republicans' re-election teams. This is precisely what has happened to Barack Obama, even though he is the legally elected President of the United States.

I can play this game, too. It's fun.

I would say the majority of middle class people do want to pay less, you get to the 10th straight year of your taxes and fees and healthcare and gas and food and anything else you can imagine going up faster than inflation. People are looking for relief from anywhere they can get it.

Off topic here, but this has been bothering me... why are having hope and desiring change negatives? I can almost understand fear of change, but seems like a stretch... but hope? What level of societal sociopathy must one find themselves in to find fault with that?

Sure would be a lot easier to herd us cats if some of us didn't actively refuse to accept that it was possible, wouldn't it?

"How would you like to get better wages, reduce the national debt, legalize weed, strengthen the safety net, bring our troops home and invest in alternative energy before China gets a leg up!?"

"That sounds great but it'll never happen. I won't join until this gets some traction... then I'll jump right in with the rest of you."

"... Good thing that's how lobbyists feel about decreasing your wages, increasing the national debt, maintaining the prison industry and military industry status quo, and only investing in Oil and Corn while offshoring jobs to China so they can compete directly with us, then. Otherwise I might mistake your apathy for an active desire to see this country burn."

I don't really get that either but I think it's safe to say it goes hand-in-hand with thinking that someone with an expensive education is automatically your enemy and your criteria for picking the president is whether you'd have a beer with him.

Seriously, "You keep the change." You like stuff the way it is and you are not even solidly middle class?

This is actually a big part of the reason there is no reasonable conservative opinion around any more (in the US) - anything with any reputation and enough viewers/readers has been snapped up and turned into propaganda rags for the extreme right, so now there is very little meaningful political discourse across a large area of the media.
