My friend sent me a link to some dude's Twitter. The guy is *really* excited about Rutgers' class and trying to ask random people like Danica Patrick, Perez Hilton, and Snooki what they think of it. I was entertained.

/lost the link though

At least we have today, and the Spring scrimmages.

Football signing day just reminds UK fans of how bad everyone else feels when the basketball signing period is going on.

/BTW, a couple studs for us this year. But nothing compared to the rest of the conference.

Is today the day when coaches who jump out of their contracts at a moments notice to go to a better program, act all upset and indignant about players who go back on their verbal commitments and sign with a better program?

Ohio State at 24 LOIs, more people still in play, and even their own blogs say they only had room for 23 w/o over signing. If I was a fifth year senior I'd be running scared.

That's the absolute worst part of it all. The absolute, total disregard for the fact that you are, in essence, admitting a student to your university. You cannot be calling backsies on a moment that major in the student's life. If you ever find yourself going 'Yeah, you know how I just accepted you to college? Well, I know classes are about to start and all, but HA HA I TROLL U', you need to take a step back and have a serious think about just what the fark kind of games you're playing with people's futures.

To me, the excitement of football just isn't the same without the knowledge that the players are being financially exploited.

Given Alabama (and NIck Saban's) love for huge DT/NG who are "space eaters" inside, I figured Eddie Goldman was a lock.

They're not in the top 25 on any of the sites. Michigan and Ohio State are the only Big 10 teams doing well with signings.

I started to submit this earlier but figured the mods hate college football so there was no way they would green one of these, and for everyone else, unless you're in the south you wouldn't understand. CFB rules the land down here.

I still see Alabama is practicing forrest gump math, 13 scholarships available and they have 26 signees, but saban will crush other kids hearts to get them under the number somehow.

good for georgia. i see they're recruiting at positions of need. by signing bail bondsman/athlete harvey-clemons that will cut out the middle man for the rest of the roster, the coaching staff, and the athletic administration.

Don't be bitter Tennessee fans, we know you want to be back in the top 20 classes.

Also 9beers, don't put a lot of stock on those rankings since they assign rankings according to number of signs and not quality.

I will say this, the big 10 is taking a huge leap that is bound to piss other schiols off if they offer 4 year scholarships.

Did he really say that? What a scumbag, he's farking over kids that may have an opportunity at other schools by feeding them bullshiat to stay at bama.

The NCAA needs to pass a new rule that you can only offer as many scholarships as you have available, giving out 25 when you have only 13 slots open is horse shiat.

Zzzzz

College football should be ashamed of itself.

When will the NFL step it up and create a legitimate, professional, minor league football system instead of exploiting kids and using the NCAA?

Yeah, back in 2008. Last year somebody asked him about it and he gave a long, rambling rebuttal that didn't really answer anything. He gets defensive for whatever reason when he's asked about it.

Because he knows he's lying to these kids and it wont stop until the NCAA steps in and forces him to quit, I don't see that happening since he makes them too much money.
