"The man was later arrested on suspicion of assault, the LAPD said. Police recovered the stolen squad car but were searching late Tuesday for the woman."

You call out half the force, cordon the area off and fire tear gas into a house on 'suspicion of assualt'

WTF????

I think step 2 is, "Sell shotgun and/or patrol rifle taken from cop car."

This would be epic if it was found parked in front of a county court house.

If she's hot that's the kind of crazy you stick your dick in. Just use a fake name and make sure that you actually live in another state first.

Even with a cop car, the local chop shop can do miracles!

There is this thing called "rule of law" that states that everyone gets their "day in court" to "plead out their case". It's a fascinating new concept and far superior to what preceded it, the Divine Right of Kings to push you around and do damn near anything they wanted.

Nah, step 2 is "get a case of tequila, then get on the freeway with the sirens blaring, drinking tequila out of the bottle, chucking the empties out the window as you head toward the border," because at that point, f**k it, you might as well.

Ahh, Pacoima, where finding a bloody knife by your car in the morning is, well, normal.

Denver Police like to jump out of their cars, run off, and leave the door hanging open at least once a night downtown.

I've often been tempted but never would I have the kind of balls she does...

Since it's winter you're probably often wearing gloves right? Just be a good concerned citizen and move the police car safely out of the road and to a nearby parking lot.

Then leave it, quickly.

Not only are you an ass, but you're an obtuse one as well. I was pointing out that it seems to be a gross overreaction on the part of the force.

It's not just Denver. I used to be a crime reporter in a little town in California and there was a huge controversy over whether it was a waste of taxpayer money/environmentally bad for cops to leave their vehicles idling for hours at scenes. I think they instituted at policy that they had to stop, but they pretty much ignored it.

Sell it to whom? You'd have to sell it illegally or to a private buyer since the serial number will show up as stolen when a dealer goes to buy it (assuming the police aren't as dumb as they claim they aren't).

Since you already answered your own question, I won't bother.

/Lots of gangbangers in LA.
//Probably a hot market for hot weapons.

Good luck not getting popped with nothing to show for it when you try.

Hint: If you're a one-time supplier, they won't see need to pay you for your product. You're no threat to them.

I'm reminded of the time me and a buddy got harassed by a cop for leaving a car running while we were unloaded some stuff (it was winter and we were only stopped for a minute). He gave us a huge lecture about how if he had been chasing someone they could hop in our vehicle and escape.

So yeah... getting a kick.
