I'm no legal expert by any means, but like in bankruptcy court, i would assume the Judge could undo deals that were obviously done to shield assets. There's got to be some JD farker out there that could shed some light on this.

Why allow adult adoptions in the first place? It seems so farking stupid. A person cannot have an actual parent/child relationship with someone they met as an adult, no matter what their deluded mind wants to believe.

Nah, this guy started with the farking, then did the adoption. This technique is more of the "Reverse-Woody."

This case is ridiculously sad, the guy will probably end up getting off (and probably not just with his "daughter"). The criminal case is completely farked up, strangely the cops did a terrible job of collecting the evidence. The civil case is an uphill battle because all of the local high-profile attorneys have some connection with the guy so the only place the parents could go was an as-seen-on-TV McPractice. And the victim would still be alive if this douche had just picked up the phone and called 911 instead of rushing home to call his attorney. The impact didn't kill the other driver, he drowned in a ditch. Really, really sad.
