Boy, and if there was ever a show that needed an 8-bit makeover, Breaking Bad is it!

2012-02-01 07:07:06 AM
That was dumber than usual for CollegeHumor.

2012-02-01 07:07:12 AM
I don't usually say this about things from collegehumor, but....clever.

2012-02-01 07:10:36 AM
That was cruel, unfair, and totally hilarious biatch, yo.

2012-02-01 07:14:16 AM
Not to be picky, but that's not 8-bit. Closer to 16-bit.

2012-02-01 07:14:48 AM
Dude, spoilers!

I was thinking the same thing.

That was great.

It's called Grand Theft Auto, fools.

2012-02-01 07:30:51 AM
Haha, Walt Jr does eat a lot of breakfast...

I think this 8-bit conversion would have looked better a la Maniac Mansion rather than an RPG.

Was thinking this too. Looks awfully similar to games like Earthbound and Final Fantasy VI (III State side as of 1996)

nutted in my corn flakes when he threw the old man ...

This is actually Super Nintendo level, not NES.

2012-02-01 07:49:43 AM
Gale Hunt was frigging funny.

I liked the Game of Thrones RPG better.

Been watching all four seasons the last few days out of boredom.

That is so awesome! I would buy that in a heartbeat.

2012-02-01 08:28:14 AM
Was ok, but, I was hoping they'd try going off script, like using the Mercury with his wife.

2012-02-01 08:35:23 AM
Please allow me to join in the army of nerds and say that was indeed SNES graphics and therefore not 8-bit.

2012-02-01 08:38:18 AM
That was definitely NOT an 8-bit makeover.

That was a SNES graphic interface. Get things right, subby, or get the fark out of the way.

Came here to say I liked it, biatch.

While the majority of the game is based on 16-bit RPGs, particularly FFVI, the Jesse Pinkman tutorial was much closer to Game Boy Advance or DS games.

Also the desert music with the Tortuga bit is what killed me.

We just finished watching the fourth season. This is hilarious.

On the internet all old style games = 8-bit

After approving 8 scripts to run, and the thing still doesn't work, I have to conclude that the other 20 aren't worth my time and effort to see this.

Dear Designers, please quit with the script bullshiat

That was pretty funny. They should have got cooking involved. Maybe showed Jesses ex seizing out, that was pretty funny.

2012-02-01 10:29:47 AM
I'm glad I got caught up last night and just happened to see this, this morning. Contains a few spoilers in there. Also a few inaccuracies, but I won't get caught up on those details.

Nemo's Brother: This is actually Super Nintendo level, not NES.

I can see I'm not needed here. Carry on.

The bit that killed me was the battle with Tuco.
"USE -> Hat"....."You've unlocked HEISENBERG!"

I lost it right there.

I hate having to activate 20-30 sites worth of scripts as well (Currently using NoScript in FireFox). For embedded videos you can often just click the video pane and it will play, but if the pane doesn't show up at all, I find you have to target scripts from sites that include "cdn" in the name, and then potentially one from an ad-server, although AdBlock will usually just block it.
Some have started getting tricky and will force you to enable ads on the site before any content will show - those ones aren't usually worth the trouble.

*whew*

I was starting to worry that folks had forgotten what 8-bit games actually looked like. It's like confusing Charlie Chaplin style "pre-talkie" films with films in black and white. Just because it's 2-D, sprite-based and has a limited palette doesn't mean it's 8-bit.

This is more like it. (PNSFW) Ironically, though, the Intellivision actually was a 16-bit system, just with 8-bit capabilities. Proof bits ain't everything.

I'm thinking this looks more like 16 bit than 8bit

I don't know how you can tell how many bits a fake game's imaginary CPU runs on just by looking at the image quality.

I'm about to start episode #4 of season 3.

I never saw the show until just a few days ago.

/burn out coming soon

I can tell by the pixels, and by having played a lot of games in my time.

This amused me.
