He's not a very good basketball player. Tall, maybe, but his fundamentals are lacking.

Maybe. But when you're 7'5", does it really farking matter?!? That's like saying, "Sure, he's got a 14" cock. But as porn stars go, he's pretty ugly."

But this guy is like a 14 inch cock on a pornstar; he's so big that he's cumbersome and uncoordinated. Plus both can cause serious damage to themselves or others by just slipping or falling.

He's good for a recruit to a private christian school.

Jamdug!: He missed the tip off?!?

That was my first thought, as well.

When you're playing on a high school level, that kind of monstrous height ensures you're going to carry the team to a victory.

He better have a back-up plan, because he'd get destroyed in the NBA.

That's even assuming that he makes it that far.

Went to high school with a guy who was 7'-0", but was one of the least coordinated people in the gym class. The gym teacher would constantly refer to him as "the Waste of Height."

Mandingo Ndiaye?

He's only in high school. He can't have been that height for very long so of course he looks like a newborn colt out there. As long as injuries don't get him (which, sadly, is highly likely) and he loves the sport, he'll be a force when he understands how to move that frame ... That just takes time and practice. Worried he may end up being one of those guys that does something because everyone tells him he has "a god given gift" to do so without any of the passion.

That was the part that made me "wut." It looked like his feet never left the ground. I don't know, maybe he's used to just standing up straight for tip off, and didn't realize that other kid had some hops.

Must be tough changing in the same locker room with him. :(

I wonder how long he's been this tall. I mean, if he went through an Anthony Davis transformation, it might take him time to get used to being this tall. The kid just needs to make sure he takes care of his ankles.

14" cock or not, women will swarm over that shiat, just like the crowd did him playing. I bet you anything that guy doesn't want to come across like he is trying too hard. He already is way too huge an advantage and he knows it.

At least he looks smart enough not to try and dribble before he goes up off of the offensive rebound. That shiat pisses me off to no end.

he's also in high-school but still he's already having knee problems. Hopefully he can get a good college education from his freak genetics, like a communications degree or something

If Mark Eaton can make an NBA roster with nothing going for him but height and auto mechanic skills, so can this guy.

2012-02-01 09:05:23 AM
So he scored 30 against a team full of little asian guys? Maybe he'll get better but that video was not impressive. Youtube some of these recent AAU videos where 6'8 guys are running the court and jumping to the point where they are hitting their faces on the rim.

Actually height has nothing to do with penis size. If it did, everyone would be really tall, since evolution would favor it. It actually has more to do with the amount of testosterone your mother had during pregnancy.

2012-02-01 09:14:55 AM
dude looks older than Greg Oden coming out of HS.

And Oden had crows feet at 19.

Something tells me a birth certificate was forged for this 'kid".

But that's ok...John Calipari is working on getting him solid SAT scores as we speak.

My step-daughter plays basketball. Coaches say that they'd have a tall girl with average skills, than a average-height girl with great skills. Seems like size matters a whole farking lot in basketball.

WHOOOOAAAAA! Dunk of the century! He went right over everyone! He beat all five players on a few of those! See the reverse one? BOO YAH!

2012-02-01 09:22:15 AM
Actually the interesting thing is that he doesn't really look 7'5", meaning that he doesn't look like Manute Bol or Shawn Bradley out there. Seems like he has the body to go with that kind of height.

More information on the kid. This article lists him at 310, and says that he had a tumor on his pituitary, which may have resulted in the growth. Doesn't sound like he's been playing basketball for very long.

You're going to see this kid at a major D1 program in a couple years, no doubt.

The "internet-know-it-all" factor of FARK never ceases to amaze me.

He's in high school, his footwork isn't horrible, his touch around the rim isn't bad and he's a solid kid...not some beanpole Shawn Bradley-type that can be moved out of block easily.

He clearly knows how to post in box, his hands seems to be good...and just in case you forgot...HE'S IN FRIGGING HIGH SCHOOL.

If he can stay injury free (clearly a big "if") and keep developing, the sky's the limit for his kid.

2012-02-01 09:27:09 AM
BTW, I think he would look great in Crimson and Cream.

GO TO IU Mamadou!!!

That was probably the most unimpressive basketball I've ever seen for someone this hyped. Also, he is traveling all the damn time.

No shiat. No one here knows how long he's played, or how long he's been this tall. Both are huge factors to consider about the kid.

other team was wearing pink shoes?

2012-02-01 09:31:50 AM
I wonder how he'd do when he isn't playing a team full of people almost a foot and a half shorter than him.

My last year of high school I played against a guy named Jerry Sokolski, 7'5" about 350 lbs. But he had no mobility or stamina. Also had a friend growing up who's now 7'4", he was somewhat good at basketball, but he had glass ankles and hands of stone. He was a great shot-blocker and took up a lot of space though. His dad, a Cornell grad, was hoping he'd end up at Cornell and dominate the Ivy League. But his ankles didn't allow him to play after the age of 17. Shame really. But it's hard to play basketball without any ankle ligaments.

Dinobot: He's not gonna last. I mean, anyone remember Greg Oden?

Oden at least could shoot free throws and mid-range shots.

This guy looks like the second coming of Shawn Bradley.

Yeah, I was expecting him to bring the ball down instinctively (vulnerable to the low block) or get pushed around, but he pushes his way in and keeps his arms up. The other team can't do anything but watch. The reasons he missed the tipoff were he was forced to crouch down, and it wasn't going to matter anyway.

History shows most people this tall aren't durable enough to last in the NBA, but if he's smart he could make easy money. SOMEONE will give him a chance. If I was 7'5", I'd work at basketball just for the guaranteed high-paying job and retire before walking became painful. Fans wouldn't like me but that'd just make my retirement anonymous anyway.

2012-02-01 09:40:36 AM
Couple of things here: he probably hasn't been 7'5" for very long. Also, he grew up in Africa, and basketball is probably fairly new to him, but I bet he can kick the sh*t out of a soccer ball. If he can add weight to keep his frame from getting fragile and develop some ball handling skills, he'll be a great rectuit for a mid-major college team.

Dinobot: Oden

I don't know how many Farkers were alive back when he retired in 1973.

Sometimes when you grow fast you lose all your coordination. In high school I went from 5'7" to 6'4" in like 2 months and I'm still not the same on skates as I was before

this comment is directed at Josh McRoberts, Mason Plumlee, and Miles Plumlee. Keep the god damn ball up high, don't bring it down low after securing the rebound, take it up like a man, draw the foul and force that farker through the hoop.

Reminds me of the summer camp I worked at. My cabin was in the youngest age group and played on 7 foot goals. We were all a lot taller than the kids, so we played 5 counselors against something like 20 kids. We dunked every time.

How about they show some highlights on defense? For fark's sake he lost the tip-off.
