Notably 8 through 11

I would want to see a motion picture of 8-11, 17 b/c those looked more like shop than shadow.

Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired and mauricecano, I totally agree. Those look too amazing to be real. If they are real, whoever made them is a crazy genius god of some sort.

opps meant to post that as a link, and as that will likely get deleted (and get me banned) here's a NSFW Link (new window)

Wow...I'm gonna have to find a larger copy of #7, so I can use that as wallpaper on my phone.

Those are real, and those artists have been around for a while- Yumi has been showing her shadow people work since 1997. Kagan has been doing his squiggle thing since at least 2007. Noble & Webster since at latest 2005 or 2006.

They are real. If you can get yourself to London you can at least see the dildo pieces, and if you have the cash you could buy it. A museum in Ohio has one of of the shadow people pieces.

Why wouldn't someone believe these are real? Humans built the goddamned pyramids and put men on the moon. I think we can handle arranging random junk to cast a shadow that looks like stuff.

If it can't be done between episodes of American Idol, then it can't be done at all!

Yes he is.

I find the incredulity about this kind of work to be funny. People on fark are constantly deriding contemporary art as being easy to make- then when something comes along that is a result of lots of hard work, talent, and skill they don't believe it.

That particular one is wood siding but I think there's some in steel, like this one:

That shoe is not part of the shadow. Look at the direction of the spot light. The shoe is just outside of the spotlight.

Plus, distance from objects to background dictates a less sharp shadow, even with a Leko light source IMO.

I should have been more clear in my previous post. I have seen this work in person. These artists are well known, and the work is legitimate.

You need to get updated on the real-life Johnny Appleseed, which is strictly for adults and not boring at all.

I wouldn't say strictly for adults.... but the man was a reclouse and an asshole, and of course, he planted orchards and samplings. The apples of course were for hard cider production and not apple pies.
He was really more of a research hoticulterists and his strains were planted all over the country.
Not the lovable bumpkin from the disney short, but not really an adults only story

what about #4. The foreground shadow's angles don't match the magic background shadow's angle.
