He's a slimeball who is going to prison anyways. If it was me, I would be spending it on hookers and coke.

2012-01-31 05:56:44 PM
Too bad he's not Republican. He could run for President again.

2012-01-31 06:00:53 PM
So when are they sending the paddy wagon around to the GOP debates?

2012-01-31 06:02:09 PM
That does it. I will not be voting for him.

2012-01-31 06:02:13 PM
John Edwards deserves the death penalty.

/no, I'm not joking.

DROP OUT OF THE RACE NOW!

Coming soon to this thread: A bunch of clueless dolts who claim that all Liberals are lovey-dovey swoony over John Edwards.

I Said: Too bad he's not Republican. He could run for President again.

....Aaaaaaand you're here all week, right? Bdm tsh!

2012-01-31 06:10:25 PM
Yes, but how much does he spend on his haircut?

2012-01-31 06:10:42 PM
So he's progressed from just really sleazy to blatantly unethical, then on to actively criminal and now he's upgrading it to blatantly criminal?

Man, that guy is a dick.

2012-01-31 06:10:53 PM
He must be thinking something like this: Heck, if you're going to crash and burn, might as well press on the accelerator.

2012-01-31 06:14:35 PM
Someone should tell him it's too late to get into the Republican primary so he should stop trying to impress their voters.

Jim_Callahan: Man, that guy is a dick.

I was going to use jack wagon but that will suffice

The guy is worth millions from his trial lawyer days.

Either he somehow blew through all that dough, or he is just waving his genitals at the judicial system at this point.

Ah, helps to RTFA.

He isn't spending it on himself, with the possible exception of paying a law firm that is handling his criminal trial.

Which I believe, while pretty sleazy, is perfectly legal.

I can't believe there's actually a news story on this. I was recently told that the mainstream MSM lieberal media always gives John Edwards a pass...

We really dodged a bullet with this clown.

In '04 I was prepared to vote for Barney the Dinosaur if it meant getting W out of office. I'd never voted Democrat before, but W had turned out to be such a disaster that the first order of business, in my opinion, was getting him out of office. I was disappointed in my country when W was re-elected.

Looking back, it turned out to be a blessing. If Edwards had risen to a position of power, there is not a shred of doubt in my mind that it would have damaged the country; possibly in the same way that Nixon had.

I, too, totally support sleaze bags spending money on lawyers.

"Dodged a bullet" only works if the bullet making contact is a seemingly inevitable result. Edwards was never close.

... Instead we got four more years of W. Which was probably worse for the country than what happened with Nixon.

Every which way we turn we're screwed!

"During the quarter, the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Utrecht & Phillips received $86,000 for consulting and legal fees, plus another $18,000 for line items described as "rent/utilities/improvements," according to the committee's new report."

So over half went for attorneys fees.

Who?

Suddenly I can hear the long silenced voice of my great gramma decrying "that man"

//move on people - it's just tabloid gossip at this point

There, you see? Both sides are bad.

This is an outrage!

Who does he think he is, Christine O'Donnell?

Yea, the Mainstream Media™ sure helped him escape all accountability.

He totally blew me off at a campaign stop in Iowa. I'm a Hispanic male, age 18-34, I'm a target demographic damnit!

Only 27 posts and I'm not seeing too many from Farks most prolific political posters. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I just traveled back in time and read a few threads involving Edwards from the 2004-2006 time frame, and now I know why. Yes, you people who claimed every Edwards allegations was a pack of lies from the right wing noise machine of Faux News ought to be embarrassed, and apparently you are.

Not a Republican now, and I wasn't back then, but I know, and knew, a slimy douche bag when I see one.

and....

I Said: Too bad he's not Republican. He could run for President again.

Again, not a repub, but get real dude. Senator Kennedy served right up until his death. Some of these (new window) people are still in office. And then there's Charles Rangel. Not a pissing contest I'd want to take sides on, D or R.

And look at Clinton compared to Herman Cain. HIs only mistake was running as a Republican.
