It will be interesting to see what exactly they find. I'm guessing though that their "path of destruction" is just scour and not skid marks

Oh my god! Something round!

Round things don't exist in nature!

Can you imagine the shiatfit the world would collectively have if they get down there and it really is a spaceship of some kind? Not that I think it is, but I wish it would be, just to see the reactions.

I honestly think it would be good for the world overall. We need more "us" thinking.

2012-01-31 04:13:01 PM
"The team is waiting until the spring to further investigate their intriguing discovery."

Perfect, that will give the shadowy international government agency which has jurisdiction over this part of the world more than enough time to remove the crashed alien spacecraft and replace it with a run of the mill ancient shipwreck prop.

I was going to go be productive today, but instead I think I'll watch episodes of X-Files on Netflix for the rest of the day.

If its really a space ship, we will not hear anything more about it =)

Not one more word about this until someone actually goes down there.

Just don't drop a nuke over the edge, we'd hate to piss them off and have them destroy a valuable submersible structure

Most dives on unidentified sunken objects turn out to be nothing more than a pile of rocks. But every once in a while you find something cool. (German sub, tons of unexploded military ordinance, shiat like that)

I really hope this turns out to be something special. I would love to go down there and start drilling holes in it to find out.

Sadly, I think that is pretty accurate.

Mr. Wood, The reason you are seeing so much ufo reports and findings in the sea at this time is: We are coming close to a time of disclosure, where the goverment is going to have to tell you things, they have known for years. So, they take you slow. Its at the bottom of the sea and they know is ufo because they know there are under sea bases. See Wikileaks concering the hidden war we are engaged in with ET's.

Considering all the tests the Germans conducted out of their top-secret R&D facility at Peenemunde over the Baltic during WW2, there's bound to be a lot of interesting stuff down there, though probably not 195-foot UFOs.

It is an Earth spaceship. From our future.

/hopefully it still has enough power to kill Sharon Stone.

The problem is that, I think, any technological civilization capable of getting a ship here isn't going to be vulnerable to having it crash.

Of course, it may not be crashed, just...waiting...

/ until the surface civilization is capable of creating lemon-scented napkins

2012-01-31 04:25:23 PM
My bet: it's a massive glacial deposit, or some other geological oddity.

No. I don't care if it dooms the human race to stay confined to this planet forever, but we can't let that crazy-haired yahoo be right

That's exactly what the ETs tend to say in the countless books they have allegedly dictated.
Folks have had some pretty close encounters (not just remembered abductions) and the aliens usually communicate telepathically. Only one of the gajiilion contacts needs to be true, and I think at least one of them really was ETs---doesn't matter which, only takes one.

That doesn't make sense, though. We sank the remaining Raptors after sending the Galactica straight into the sun.

It should be a Raptor!

Is there any scale given for the size of the finding? Grey shape on grey make it hard to determine what it might be.

/like geo deposit
// or some rotted wood structure from ancient times.

I want to believe so hard this is true. If it is, I don't even care that it's been kept a secret so long as it means we aren't alone.

2012-01-31 04:32:56 PM
Can you imagine if these were actually alien spacecraft? To have come all this way... so very far and such a long time, overcoming all the same obstacles that we discuss here as being total impediments toward interstellar travel...

And then f*cking crash into the sea. SONOFA!
