They actually lived in Manassas Park, which is right next to Manassas, but smaller, its own city, & had a different tax code than the rest of the county... And was even more farked up. There's a "grassy knoll" right next to the 7-11 where his little John was tossed/found.

Pretty sure she (from the article) used to drink w. my neighbors. She owned a Harley & drove a cement truck for a living. Yup.

I realize that Darabont declared in season one that they were taking the show in a different direction than the comics, but I'd be pretty surprised if the prison wasn't in the opening scene of season three.

There really aren't enough good zombie novel out there. World War Z being one off the top of my head. I'd be willing to give it a shot. At least when I'm reading, the actors in my head do ungodly work. Thats normal right?

Oh please. i've seen way worse shows and stopped watching them. If The Walking Dead were so awful, i highly doubt i would follow it.
i highly doubt anyone would follow it.
That's not to say that other bad shows aren't on the air. Or that really good ones don't get canceled for reasons unknown to the rational man. But The Walking Dead is not a bad show.

Agreed. I realize that a lot of the grittier elements from the comics are not going to pass muster on cable, but the "Where's Sophia?" story-arc dragged out way too long. There are better ways to provide character exposition, dammit!

i guess the biatch of season 2 is that they stretched something that should have been 2-3 episodes (finding hershel's farm) into 6. the show simply drug on with the sophia crap for no reason other than (well, a big reason i suppose) to make it cheap.

the show sucks. it really does. the promise of the original first few episodes is shat on every single new episode so far. I am not saying it needs to be word for word the comic, but come on - what they are generating is crap. I still hold out hope for the show... but they really need to pick it the fark up. If they wanted to waste time to save budget money they could have moved on to the prison (seriously, if they cut that stuff completely out, i probably WILL quit watching unless what replaces it is just awesome... but I don't have HIGH hopes for that) since they are there for an extended amount of time. Stretching out crap that has no real purpose however simply stinks.

shane will be there until the series is canceled, mark my words. as will lori, unless they use her death as a sort of a "Dexter" type cliffhanger ending.

Season 1 episode 1 was great, it went downhill from there. And it just keeps going.....

Not me, I think it's one of the best shows on TV with great writing and mixed good/great acting. But I also can't stop watching.

When I was 18 and just out of high school I spent the summer as a janitor a Zenith Inteq before heading out to college. I met Lorena, she did my bosses hair and they had lunch regularly. Seemed nice enough, was shocked when I heard the news and actually knew the person in passing!

I just wonder when they are going to figure out that Zombies are perpetual motion machines and start using them as power generators in giant Zombie Gerbil wheels.

I love that show. That and Breaking Bad make AMC the best channel on cable.
