Just because your grandmother snuck you a shot of brandy when you were a kid doesn't mean you need to give yours Methadone and Nyquil

Brandy? That's for lightweights.
My sister and I got Irish Whiskey when mom wanted us down for the count or needed to soothe a tooth ache or cold.

"ACS didn't do their job. If they would have done their job, this wouldn't have happened," Mildred Reyes said.
No. Just, no. You raised a drug addict daughter who killed her own son through neglect and stupidity. The ACS didn't give her the drugs and didn't force her to give it to her 6 year old.

The father:
He was a good boy. He liked to paint. He was a good artist, fun kid. It's a tragedy to have me go through this," Rios said
How about the kid? It's a tragedy that the kid had to die, not that you had to be inconvenienced

Everyone knows sucking on a crack rocks helps teething, how could they let her be so unprepared for child rearing?

Ah c'mon. It's not like the kid cares. He's dead!
Won't somebody think of the parents?

So the family is blaming the government for not preventing the mother from killing the child. Typical liberal response. Remember folks, you are not responsible for your actions, it is up to the government to protect you from yourself and make sure your life is nothing but unicorns and rainbows.

"ACS didn't do their job. If they would have done their job, this wouldn't have happened," Mildred Reyes said.
My friend died because he drove home drunk from my house... but it's totally the police's fault, if they had been doing their job and had ride checks out that night, that wouldn't have happened.

Seems like the brandy would have been far better than Nyquil.
/I love the stuff (Nyquil) but mostly just because it knocks you out long enough that you've recovered from whatever was affecting you. Probably doesn't do anything to cure it, but I don't mind missing the interlude.

You know people think my parents were weird for making me hot toddies, BUT it was a thimble-full of whiskey in a lot of tea and lemon.
Methadone can be really dangerous, how the hell did the mom get access to take home samples? You have to be clean for over a month or two to be allowed to do it at home.
Cool fact I actually got semi-addicted to Nyquil senior year of high school because of how stressed out I was. My Mom went ape-shiat when she found out I had been using it to sleep.

Apparently my ex-stepfather's mom use to massage him and his brother's junk to get them to go to sleep when they were babies.
They were Austrian... and fookin' weird.

Why doesn't he just pack a bag full of toys, coloring books, etc? The key problem with kids on planes is boredom. Kindles and iPads work as well.
My Parents took 3 kids to Australia and back w/o any issues because of the magic bag. People complimented my parents on us :)
/Seriously don't drug your kids
