I went to AY Jackson with Mme. Léger-Legault when she was teaching - I know two of the guys, I only assumed she kept it up once we graduated and I guess I was right!

She wasn't really keeping it a secret, I heard about her showing up at one of the older students' (about a grade or two higher) when he had a party, and the guy booted everyone out just so he could nail her.

I'm surprised she's just now getting fired, she had a good run though - way to go Mme. Léger-Legault!

how long must the witch hunts proceed before people realize these fine female educators are light years ahead of their peers? they go the extra mile to provide incentive for the student body. and that's just good teachin.

the "teacher sleeping with student" trend is nothing new. only the constant reporting of it. when I was in High School and even middle school it was going on, even in the small backwoods town where I lived. Math teacher (male) was "transferred" because he was banging an 8th grade girl. nothing in the news, not even a write up in the local paper where "news worthy" events included someone freezer being broken. Lots of cases in high school. our art teacher was constantly rubbing her boobs on all the male students and giving us "shoulder rubs". me and another student walked in on her blowing a senior. everyone knew, but just ignored it.
so I wonder, what has changed. is it just perspective, same amount being reported and prosecuted, but because of the internet everyone hears about every single one. or is it more are being reported?
