Need Help Soonish: Well, I know my current laptop will run it fine... The main issue I have is waiting for the bugs to be patched. I would go with Steam, but I really like my Mods, and as of right now, getting steam version of games to run mods is a pain in the ass... So I wait... *sigh*
FYI, to all of the cute bi Skyrim fans: I bought the retail version of Skyrim, which was maybe the third program I installed on the computer I built for it, and even the retail box version installed Steam first and requires it. I've also modded the holy hell out of it, there are a ton of great graphical and gameplay mods already out. Since it's Steam-only (as far as I know), all of the mods are built for the Steam version. Including the naked chicks mod. Especially the naked chicks mod. All of the bugs I've encountered have been quest-related, where a quest may not advance when it should, but nothing that stops me from enjoying the overall game.

Steam is non-subscription. It occasionally farks up if you try to launch disconnected though, telling you that you need to connect to Steam if you want to play offline. Even with a completely offline game like Skyrim.
