At this rate Obama may want to reef the mainsail and drop the jib, there is such thing as too much of good thing, especially when it comes to wind(bags), after this primary season, the eventual GOP nominee could get a "they can't be THAT bad can they"? bounce

Some genius suggested Obama's campaign create ads consisting of nothing but un-edited clips of the Republican primary debates. That should put a stop to that line of thinking.

Well yeah, when your running against the idealized opposition candidate, you have trouble in the polls. when they actually have to name someone, then you can actually run on your merits, and you get a nice boost.

At thi point, i'd rather vote for Satan then any of the GOP noms. At least you know where he stands on the issues.

Right now Obama is sitting back as the Republicans are tearing each other apart.

You do realize that at some point they will pick a candidate, and unite against the hated Negro in chief, don't you?

Seriously, their hatred against Obama is the greatest weapon the Republicans have. They would vote for Hitler if the choice was Hitler or Obama.

Those tailwinds Obama is enjoying now will eventually turn into the biggest derp storm this country has ever seen. THEN we'll see how strong Obama is.

Wow. I cannot believe you actually had to dig all the way back to that pre-presidential gaff, almost 4 years ago now, to come up with anything Obama said wrong.

The 57 states, that is a goof. A slip up of words. That is excusable. Out on the campaign trail, constantly stumping, very little sleep, I'd be shocked if anyone didn't get a little verbal diarrhea. If any politician had said that, I'd give them a pass.

All the insane things Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich have said? They believe them, they mean them, and in most cases, haven't apologized for or backed away from them.

Meh, why do I bother? All this typing to try and point out a reasoned argument to someone who uses "libtard" and "Fartbongo." Like talking to an ape...

The wreck of Reagan's Gop?

The legend lives on from the District of C on down
of the Party they called "Gipper's GOP."
The party, it is said, never always eats her dead
when the returns of November turn gloomy.
With a load of Bore twenty-six thousand tons more
than Mitt Romney weighed empty,
that candidate true was a bone to be chewed
when the "Tales of November" came early.

The Candidate was the pride of the GOP side
coming back from a pounding in 08.
As the rich fish go, he was bigger than most
with a campaign and manager well seasoned,
concluding some terms with a couple of New Hampshire hicks when they left fully loaded for Raleigh.

And later that night when the CNN bell rang,
could it be the big gasbag they'd been feelin'?

The stories on the wires made a tattle-tale sound
and a negative ad broke over the airwaves.
And ev'ry man knew, as Romney in did too
'twas the Newt of Gingrich come stealin'.
The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait
when the attacks of November came slashin'.
When afternoon came it was freezin' polls
in the face of a shameless narcissisist's onslaught.

I remember 2007 as well: Dubya gave up and hid in the White House, everybody was groaning about how the Republicans were obstructing, and everybody just wanted Dubya gone completely. It was lame duck season and the Republicans finally realized they had not only mobilized a dangerous majority of their Base that suddenly wanted what they had been promised, but also the Democrats...which at that point was everybody who wasn't rich, white, and had a degree of power.

Obama has often looked exhausted by the bitter attrition of divided Washington, with the hope of his 2008 campaign a distant memory. But in recent weeks, he has appeared liberated, mostly when he has left Washington's partisan his home jungle far behind.

There's no way this farking moran Bush will be re-elected. He's the worst president in history. He's gotten us into two wars, the one in Iraq clearly a criminal offense for which he should be serving time in a federal prison. Plus, his dismantling of our civil rights, his winking approval of human rights violations, coddling of the rich and squandering of all the good faith the Democrats and the world handed him after 9/11 make him unelectable.
