Does HBO even have the budget to pull off the Eddard Stark talking through Ghost convincingly for an entire season, or are they gonna cheap it out with a voiceover and call it good?
The only way I can see them pulling it off as CGI is to cut the entire sequence with Other-Arya melding with Cersei entirely and just say that Joffrey was "pretending" the whole time due to (insert clever rationalization here), unless the whole budget is already blown on the Dragonriders melting The Wall a book early.

Whatever, just gotta have faith in HBO, fingers crossed ... April 1st is too far away!

natmar_76: Madbassist1: Tried several times...it's still dull. I've long since given up.

I couldn't even get past 20 pages. It's... just.... so.... boring... and... slow.

Exactly. If a book can't pick up the pace within the first 20 pages, you just know that it's going to be a snorefest. There wasn't even any pictures. You know who knows how to write a tightly plotted book? James Patterson. All the chapters are like 3-5 pages long, so you know he just throws as much as he can into them. You should totally pick up some Dan Brown if yo get a chance as well.

9beers: brigid_fitch: I don't understand that. Game of Thrones is a 15-yo book. Just how long do people expect the "No Spoilers" rule to remain in effect? I only started reading the series last winter and kept tripping across spoilers. Didn't ruin it for me.

The threads are discussing the series, not the books so coming in here with spoilers from the books is a dick move, especially since so many people haven't read the books. If there were threads discussing the books, I would expect there to be spoilers.

Also, this. I'm sorry, but just because the book series is older than some of the actors on the show doesn't mean that it's common info that Rob Stark turns into a werewolf at his wedding and the Freys need to put him down for the safety of everyone involved. But you shouldn't blame Fark posters, you know who is truly at fault? This dude George RR Martin. farker wrote down all these spoilers for the show in the first place. Thanks a lot asshole.

Not everyone has to like GoT. That's why they invented "Jersey Shore".

dragonchild: The Stealth Hippopotamus: They've burned or destroyed every ounce of food and a recorded setting winter is falling on them. Hell the poor fools dont even know what is crawling over the Wall right now!

The epic has set itself up for the most disappointing deus ex machina ending since the Battlestar Galactica reboot TV series, as GRRM has basically farked up Westeros to the point where it's too depleted and dysfunctional to make any successful resistance to the Others allow suspension of disbelief.

I know, there's no way Westeros could battle the ice monsters without some kind of fire-shooting weapon... and I don't remember reading about anything like that.

blackminded: homarjr: I hate these threads.

I'd love to talk about GoT, but people who have read the books feel the desire to play spoiler way too much.

Oh come now, who would do that...

wingnut396: What about the Dothraki crossing on the Narrow Sea on the land bridge the witches of Dorne conjure up? I totally did not see that alliance!

bulok: So long as they keep the wights storming King's Landing and the dragons melting the wall being , I'll be fine with Eddard Stark/Ghost sequences. It was all pretty pointless anyways they can just reveal Jon's mother some other way

...ok you may have a point.

/also haven't read the books

They're having a little fun with you. Those are fake spoilers. You can tell this because nothing horrible is happening to your favorite character in them.
