Did anyone outside of Tuscaloosa care that the #2 beat the #24 team last November? Because the Coaches poll did.....

are you comparing the individual value of a college football game to that of a college basketball game?

They're probably confused that we actually get to drive on the highways for free.
Or maybe that we can eat at a restaurant without paying some sort of luxury tax.

Serena Williams, who was ranked #28 in the world lost to Samantha Stosur in the US Open last year and ESPN and fark acted as if this was the greatest upset in the history of professional sports ever.

Should have mentioned that Ms. Stosur was ranked number 9 at the time.

ESPN still has the article up: What a bunch of morans:

"We Don't Give A Damn For the Whole State of Michigan" makes about as much sense as "You're so vain, I bet you think this song is about you!"

No-because Sheamus just won the Royal Rumble, which matters more than this game.

erm, that may not have been an upset in terms of rankings, and it was hardly the greatest upset EVAR, but it was still awfully surprising.

Good. Can we get rid of Ohio now? I am sure it can only improve the economy.

Really, a decrepit football stadium seats more people than our crappy utility arena? Hell, you guys have a ton of seats that are only sixteen inches instead of the customary eighteen inches everywhere else. Maybe if Michigan didn't try to squeeze so many blue hairs in there those attending would actually be able to make some noise instead of just trying to breathe and using whatever energy they have remaining to (softly) say "down in front?"

Didn't even know there was a game today. Wake me when it actually matters in March and April, blah blah blah.

The play that will live ... in infamy

Not just that play - Webber did everything wrong in that entire possession. Watch the video again - he tries to call time-out at :19 right after getting the rebound, then gets away with the most blatant walk never called by a ref at :17, then advances the ball right into a double-team trap. Michigan did everything they could in the last minute to give that game away.

Good thing, too. I'd hate for you to have to spell New Hampshire.

If you think that is lacking in class then you should quit watching sports, because worse actions take place at pretty much every game. Matter of fact save yourself the pain of this awful world. Take your poor innocent self out in the desert, dig a hole and bury yourself. That'll save you from being offended any more you poor innocent little angel.

At least they can beat Michigan in one sport.

And football. You know, the one that matters.

Just not this year. It was quite close though.

/you'd have had more luck if you'd went with "wake me when they beat an SEC team at something"
