Sometimes I feel he treats subjects a bit too flippantly to appeal to readers.

But mainly, his google+ picture annoys me to no end for some reason. That's my fault, however, as I can't unsee this now.

someone clear this up for me. yesterday's story mentioned the latest outburst from the sun was heading away from us because of the sun's rotation. I know the sun rotates, but exactly how long is one rotation?

Is that the image? Yeah, it doesn't even make sense, the guy in the corner is, in no way, making "that face". It gives you that awkward feeling of "am I missing something".
