That was brutal.

Did you see that wrist technique? It takes years of masturbation to pull a rock off like that.

I thought this was an Eric Cartman roshambo joke :(

When I played baseball in Japan they would do this to settle tie games. Both teams would line up and the team captains would go at for a few rounds before the umpire eventually called a winner.

More intelligent than any of Earth's nations.

That's funny. Those guys have a good sense of humor.

You couldn't see it because they were wearing clothes, but the guy on the left actually won when his vagina formed the shape of a rock and smashed the other guys vagina-shaped scissors.

Ok, it's funny, but aside from the lulz, why would someone do that?

Isn't the point of kickboxing so that you can spar with your buddies?

Back in high school, during wrestling season, there were these twin brothers that refused to wrestle each other in competition (dunno if they practiced with one another, they went to a different school). Something about not wanting to accidentally injure a family member. Instead, they would flip a coin if they met each other in a preliminary match, and share the championship if they met in the finals. Perhaps that's what went down here.

Because when you go to a tournament every two or three weeks and you're fighting more or less the same people at every tournament, eventually you want to do something to break it up. The competitors all know each others' capabilities. I don't see anything wrong with goofing around and doing a rock-paper-scissors tie-breaker.

I don't know about kickboxing, but things like this happen a lot in bjj even in major tournaments where guys from the same training academy basically don't fight each other. Either they'll decide the match outcome beforehand with RPS or the junior student will lose to the senior one. Usually, they'll still put on a token match, with one guy throwing it.

Always throw paper first, most people tend to throw rock. If do right, no can defense.

Disqualified. Unsportsmanlike conduct.

WTF? Ok. I am cool with the chivalry these two portray but really. This isn't chess and we are not playing house here. It is kickboxing and sparring is part of it. I agree with Krieghund 100%. Dont try to be silly, just get to fighting.

I dunno, to me, that's just a bullshiat way to make sure the guy in the school gets to the next round without expending any effort. Or a way to keep the egos of the team members or school intact (i.e. "well, they lost, but they didn't *really* lose").

If it's a sport, people shouldn't be throwing matches, IMO.
