I think it's mostly not wanting to contribute to the greater good of anyone they deem as somehow unworthy of inclusion in Their America. This includes minorities, but also poor white trash types. They want a sort of social darwinism to selectively favor the people they like. A selective breeding program, if you will.

Meh. The US had a lot of downward momentum when Obama took over. As far as I can tell, he's reduced some of that momentum. Fools like you would like to vote in another idiot like bush. Guess you want the US to be a third-world nation.

actually, despite republican efforts, obama has made almost everything better (or, more accurately, almost everything has gotten better under obama) only unemployment and gas prices are worse than when bush left office.

1) unemployment is always a lagging indicator, and for 22 months in a row, we have seen private sector job growth, which is a helluva trend (government jobs have declined - but that's what happens when you cut government spending. republicans obviously understand this and are hoping it will hurt the economy)

2) gas prices were $4/gal or more in the summer of '08, right before the crash. then, in september, the world lost nearly 45 percent of its wealth in the greatest economic cataclysm since the crash of 1929. as demand crashed with it, gas prices plummeted. this is why gas was at $2/gal when bush left office. hardly anything to be proud of.

but republicans like WW will continue to lie and claim that everything is worse and that obama has raised taxes, despite these 'facts' being patently and demonstrably untrue. sadly, the "mainstream" media will report it, too, in the interest of "balance."
