Years ago I brought a date to a comedy club in the Boston area with "Gallagher" as the headline. The tickets were so cheap I snatched them up at the bar commenting on the price.

"Make sure you tell people it's not the 'real' Gallagher; make sure you're telling people it's his brother."

The bartender nodded and I turned around to see him and said it's fine I'd like to see it anyway. So we waited around and when the show began it was a complete ripoff of his brother. He even did the sledgeomatic.

Yeah, Gallagher later sued his brother over that. The brother's not allowed to do that anymore.

However, that doesn't stop Gallagher from being a racist unfunny dick.

Insurance stocks are one of the more secure market segments for paying dividends. In a good economy it's not too exciting but in crappy times like this if anyone is giving dividends you take what you can get.

Although could the TPA end of the company work on getting back to us faster when NCCI and the bureaus want us to review class codes on WC claims?

I remember the parents renting Ghallager vhs tapes to distract us kids (1985) and early on in one someone in the audience yells "Ghallager for president!" and he responds, "I can't run for president; I smoke dope." Notwithstanding the 'new' definition of 'dope' meaning pot (it used to mean heroin) imagine if he'd run in 1992 (clinton), 2000 (Dubya), 2008 (Obama)...

As I understand it his brother did have permission to do the act in smaller venues that the real "Gallagher" doesn't play anymore but he was skimming or doing something with the money so he was sued for breach of contract.

I saw brother Gallagher once. Yeah. He did the whole classic act, but it was still funny.

And he got peanut butter one the ceiling of the National Guard Armory.

He also did his grocery shopping at the grocery store I worked at. I got to help him load his van.

He was a pretty nice guy.
