AK-47. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherfarker in the room, accept no substitutes.

Also, having a bottle opener next to the chainsaw blade's gore zone is only inviting accidental transmission.

(I would like to think the creator had some legitimate engineering or tactical use in mind, but he probably just played gears of war excessively).

ArtosRC: Also, having a bottle opener next to the chainsaw blade's gore zone is only inviting accidental transmission.

If you use a chainsaw to cut into flesh, everywhere is the gore zone.

Never thought I'd see a wiper motor on a rifle.

My favorite part is where you can only ever see a third of the rifle at a time because the cameraman doesnt know how to zoom out or take 2 steps back.

Cute, but serious zombie fighters know that chainsaws make lousy zombie weapons. After only a couple kills the chain gets gummed up with gore and jams.

And then there's the transmission factor - if you have any open wounds at all, guess what you just got into it?

I'll not get into the practicalities (or lack thereof) of a melee weapon that draws the work towards the user.

I too feed the pain on having to correct people regarding the differences between a clip and a mag. I would get over that pain quite quickly if I owned one of these monstrously epic death-dealing bullet dispensing swiss army knives of doom. Also the pain of missing fingers. I might loose a digit or two but the love of my deathmachine would keep me warm. So there is that.

SONOFA. LASTMINUTE-EDIT Having just typed all of that I'm suddenly concerned that there might be slow typing chainsaw accident victims shy a finger or two............... awkward

LDM90: WHUT AM AH GONNA DO WITH AN EMP-TAY CASE???

Voila: the ZF-1. It's light. Handle's adjustable for easy carrying; good for righties and lefties. Breaks down into 4 parts, undetectable by x-ray; ideal for quick, discreet interventions. A word on firepower. Three thousand round clip with bursts of 3 to 300. With the Replay button (another Zorg invention) it's even easier. One shot, and Replay sends every following shot to the same location. And to finish the job, all the Zorg oldies but goldies. Rocket launcher. Arrow launcher, with explodin' and poisonous gas heads. Very practical. Our famous net launcher. The ALWAYS efficient flame-thrower. My favorite. And for the Grand Finale, the all new Ice Cube System!

This. I always thought chainsaws were a very inconvenient weapon to use against zombies. The risk of inadvertent infection is just way too high.

I would go with a good long staff. Good distance weapon that you can crack bones with, but it's not going to make a lot of splashing.

I contend that the absolute best zombie weapon is a samurai sword. Ultra sharp with a proven record of cutting humans in half. Stays sharp, never runs out of bullets, not to heavy, and quiet. I think it is what all the coolest zombie fighters are going to be carrying.

I'm partial to a good ice scraper myself. Polearm on a budget. (new window)

With a good edge, and some practice, you can catch a zombie at the bridge of the nose and shave the top half of their heads clean off.

But don't forget your protective gear.

You still have to get in contact range and find the room and physical strength to kill.
Lord help you if the zombies all gaggle together and you have to slash through a half dozen at a time.

With the standardization of calibers and gun owners tendency to stockpile, you probably have more bullets and guns out there than zombified people to shoot.
So I don't see why I'd bother with more than a machete.

/I worked out that around here it's probably a ratio of more than five bullets to every man, woman, and child.

Doh, meant to direct that at the samurai sword suggestion.

I used that extensively in Left for Dead. The best weapon in the game and
it never ever runs out of ammo.

Pssshhh, you mean the machete. That one had the perfect amount of range and power. It's what a machete does, only you're substituting sugar cane and jungle brush for zombie limbs.

Need a machete and/or a crowbar and you're set for WWZ.
