Obviously, there are instances of criminality that should always be condemned. In the article you cite, a drunken idiot committed an act of violence, and should be caught and punished. In this instance, however, the person being tossed fully consents (in fact he has an agent and is being paid for this service,) and is wearing safety gear. We have consent and minimal injury risk.

No one's rights are violated. No one is being harmed. Freedom means that we get to do things, no matter how unsavory in another's eyes, as long as we are not violating another person's rights.

I once voluntarilly placed myself in a situation for several weeks where I had no or limited freedom to move, could not talk without permission, had to spend hours on repetitive cleaning activities involving black leather, and was regularly verbally abused or made to perform hard physical activities at the whim of my "Master".
Then boot camp was over.

This sounds like good fun. Just good old fashion horsing around fun. The closest thing like this that happened around here (besides minor league hockey) was a group put together an amatuer wrestling event. A buddy told me they didn't even have a ring. The "wrestlers" would repeat the moves of the pro's by pretending they were bouncing off ropes. They had a ladder for the jumping off the top rope stuff. He was the ref. of the event and said it was the dumbest thing he ever saw.

It is not the business of the state to determine who citizens can and cannot toss.

Our next door (normal height) neighbors have a toddler girl who is a little person. She is a sweet, adorable, happy kid - and has absolutely no idea yet the challenges she will face in the world - relationships, work, sports/hobbies, etc.

While I generally agree with the "consenting adults" thing, I don't in this case - because of people like this neighbor kid. She deserves to grow up in a world where people like her aren't humiliated and made fun of for entertainment JUST BECAUSE they are short. The little people involved might be A-OK with the concept, but that doesn't change it for me.

Little people are of course free like the rest of us to be as silly or ridiculous as they want. But to convey to a child that some people are going to view their very existence as a joke - well, that's just wrong.

I asked the guy how he'd like me to toss him.

He might have had a little body, but he was all heart.

Why is it evil to participate in a dwarf tossing, yet perfectly fine to watch hot chicks strut around in lingerie, or watch men beat the crap out of each other in MMA? If the participants are volunteers and nobody's getting seriously hurt, I don't see the problem.
