FTFA: "That fundraiser, complete with a beer garden that includes special beers from NØgne Ø, Mikkeller, Dogfish Head, Redstone Meadery, Odell, Stone, Funkwerks, Moylans, Odell, Avery, Sierra Nevada and Upslope, is still scheduled to take place."

He said Odell twice. He must really like Odell.

That beer cave/cellar is pretty amazing. Mine has been growing at pretty big clip the last few years and it would be awesome to have a cave to store them.

For all your beer fans out there the really good seasonal brews from Great Divide came out this month. I just picked up a case of them both-

Isn't the "Great American Beer Festival" the one that Miller has won every year for the past decade in their commercials? How great is it then?

that festival has about a 1000 categories almost anyone can win. I think they win best mass produced American beer or some "who gives a crap" award every year. It's all pretty meaningless and just one group handing the award to another person the next year.

Man, what a legacy he left though. I work in Denver, every September/October GABF storms in here like a jolly drunken Trappist monk, and hopefully it will until eternity.

OK... that makes sense then... I figured it was either that or it was something they basically made up to put in commercials.

I've volunteered for it several years. You get to drink while you pour. It is like heaven for a few days. It is fun to try and drink the medal winners from the categories you're interested in. Lotsa nice folks.
