Owen just learned that lesson at age 7. As Twitter showed us after the Kyle Williams incident, a lot of people still haven't. Maybe this letter can teach them
OK, OK. I'm sorry about throwing chunks of ice at Santa. I'm sorry about throwing "D" cell batteries at J.D.Drew and Deion Sanders.
The Eisenhower dollars we hurled at Pete Rose, I'm going to let stand, though. A man has to have his principles.

I didn't understand why the giants players didn't catch more shiat for saying they were targeting him since they knew he had a history of concussions.
Feel sorry for the kid though, it sucks to be the sole blame for a loss.

Dear Kyle,
We understand you were the backup return man. We understand that you didn't get a lot of reps. We understand that you were trying to atone for earlier mistakes by making a big return. You still cost us the game.
We had the best defense in football. We had an offense that almost never turns the ball over.
Why were you taking risks near your own end zone in sudden death
? If you're not sure you can catch and/or hold on to the ball, just let it roll to a stop.
You don't have to pick it up.
We would rather you chicken out and contribute nothing than try to be a hero and negate everybody else's contribution.
We don't want you to die in a fire or anything, but maybe you should work on ball security this offseason instead of getting more wanna-be gangbanger tattoos. Those don't look nearly as cool when you're singlehandedly blowing your team's chance at the super bowl.

Fark Kyle Williams. Instead of playing it safe, he had to be flashy. Yes, I am the 99%.

Williams has no disipline and has always made me nervous when he's back returning kicks. I hate mental mistakes on the field and he's the poster boy. He should feel bad as he's a pro and makes a lot of money.
But any one play in the game could have been the difference in the game.

Don't sell Vernon Davis short, though; 30 yards worth of personal fouls in a game decided by an OT field goal is no trifle.
But as a Dolphins fan, deep down I know the whole thing is Ted Ginn's fault.

With that said, people who send death threats to athletes on the webz are really weak, douchey farks.
Prior to Boston's championship run, no matter how bad it got, it never crossed my mind to hate or wish harm on someone who missed a play or kept them from winning.
I liked the kid's letter....and I can think of more than one fanbase (including idiots within mine) who need to take a flyer from him.
But it doesn't mean I've never savored the tears of teams that fell to their wake.

Nutless douches sending threats on Twitter could learn a lesson in class & decency from this kid.
But they probably would want to kill him too.

I've been a Niners fan since Montana threw to the end zone and Clark made "the Catch" and I forgot about this dweeb's fumble five minutes after the game was over. Who pays so much attention to football that they send death threats?

Yeah, two fumbles that directly led to scores is more to blame, Davis is a dumbass but Kyle has to be feeling like complete shiat right now. If I were the owner of the 49ers I would have booked a trip for him to new zealand or someplace that has no TVs just to get him away from the idiocy.

Dear Rivers,
I was going to write a letter filled with anger, despair, and various complaints about the insanity of the ticket prices at the Q, but instead, I will say this. For 48 years my father has watched Chargers football, and every year he has shook his head with disappointment. To put it blankly, a lot of San Diego sports fans are jaded- truly jaded, at an organization that has had the talent for years and years and cannot win a Superbowl. We're disappointed.
Sincerely,
A San Diego Sports Fan

There are countless non-natives who never grew up in SF, and have nothing better to do than jump on the latest bandwagon (see SF Giants fan). They don't give a shiat about SF, and just want an excuse to yell "WOOOO! WOOO!"
Plus, since a lot of us have $$$ to burn because of Silicon Valley, we can buy whatever the latest sweater or jersey or hat is in fashion because FU we have money. WOOOO! WOOOOOOOOOOO! WOOO!
/not native to the SF Bay Area, don't give a shiat about the Niners or SF Giants

This is true, but also don't forget
how
Ginn got hurt, when they ran that bizarre intentional offensive pass interference play twice in a row.
I'm just saying there is blame to go around, but yes Williams is at the top of the list.
I'm actually still impressed by Alex Smith, though. I had just assumed Gore would get hurt and Smith would implode and lose the game. The Niners can take some real positives into next year. It looks like the defense and Gore weren't just masking the real Alex Smith. There's growth potential. As opposed to, say, another year of Joe Flacco.

When you have both your team's touchdowns, you're allowed a little farking-up space. Such as two personal fouls.
And it is Ginn's fault, or the fault of a lack of him. Then again, for all we know, he would have had 3 fumbles. He's not known for issues there, but when he's running routes, he's also not known for catching footballs.
/Should have said "routes".
