My cousin and his wife used to live close to that bridge. It's a good thing he moved 4 months ago. The bridge closure would have been very inconvenient for him.

I used to drive over that damned crappy bridge going to work and back each day - it was nearly 80 damned years old and so narrow that I was always scared that a semi would knock me into the water. I will be a huge inconvience trying to get around now if you are going to Land Between the Lakes or Cadiz from my house but luckily, I don't go that direction very often now.

I am so glad that no one was hurt or killed - it could have been so much worse if it was during the summer tourist season...

Sure only 2800 ppl a day use it, but it's the only bridge across for dozens of miles. As it is, right now my Sister in Murray now has a very good excuse to NOT visit our parents in Trigg County. So for her, it's not so big a disaster at all.
