sounds liek a good way to make ultra pure water, which has a lot of uses, really.

Perhaps a suit could be made using this material that would allow the recovery of water exuded from the body. This could be used on desert planets in the collection of material vital to interstellar travel.

Excuse me for a moment while I readjust my glasses, clear my throat, and point out that this material in no way distills alcohol. It just allows water to evaporate while trapping the alcohol molecules

DNRTFA because I already knew alcohol works on female Canideans.

I'm stalling a bit on the point where they say it blocks helium while passing water. It's hard for me to picture a molecular monolayer really blocking helium better than a millimeter of glass.

Of course, if it's true, this could revolutionize the party-balloon industry.

They're scientists. In my experience, that means that they're more likely Scotch, wine, or beer guys. Notice that they didn't claim to be non-drinkers, just not vodak drinkers.

Still, there other uses it is well suited for.

Ah. Understood.

But what about Russian scientists?
