I watched the first season and completely forgot about the second. Oh well, Justified is back on.

That reads like an article written entirely to dance around the fact that hipsters have been getting this haircut for years and have been calling it the 'Hitler Youth' for just as long.

Argh, i haven't finished the second season yet. Oh well.

So are hipsters the ones with the not quite long/not quite short hair, thick-rimmed glasses, and unshaven face, or are they the clean cut American Psycho cosplayers?

Can we just admit that there' no such thing as a hipster and that it's just a label to apply to things we don't like?

Word. Boardwalk Empire is snoozy at best, coma-inducing at worst.

Still worth watching. Lots of ups & downs in Season 2 and not a few surprises. The spoiler in TFA was really not a surprise at all by the time you got to the 3rd to the last episode. Not that you could see it coming a mile away, you just sort of thought, "Wow, Nucky's got very few options for Jimmy here, all of which are bad."

I have tried to get it a few times over the past two years, but without fail they trim the top too short to pull off. I've since given up trying.

Wow, we're droppin' TV spoilers in headlines now? Rough...

But seriously, if you aren't caught up on Boardwalk, you really are missing out. 2nd best drama on TV behind Breaking Bad.

Not counting Sherlock, ofcoarse, but that's from across the pond....

When I was in junior high in the early 1990s, it was popular and known as the "skater cut".

Season 2 was good...not as good as 1, but still good.

/really looking forward to Richard Harrow's inevitable revenge murder streak next season
//and him possibly hooking up with Gillian

Without CGI or ground-breaking new technology, I might be able to come up with an Eddie Kessler haircut.

That was months ago. What's the statute of limitations between "hey! Spoiler!" and "you're just out of touch"?

I haven't seen Game of Thrones yet, but I'm a HUGE fan of Sean Bean.

Do you guys think I'd enjoy it?

If you're not watching Boardwalk Empire, you really should be. I think it's fantastic. I think Season 1 was stronger from start to finish, but Season 2 had the best episodes toward the end. Some of the earlier episodes this season were a bit weak, but it got a lot better as it went on. I really, really want to see what's going to happen in Season 3 when Nucky finds out what Margaret did with the land deed.

I would say waiting until the DVDs come out are a good guideline. I watched last season, was slightly bored throughout but still intrigued, and decided to wait until Season 2 was finished before I tried to catch up. It wasn't the risk of downloading illegally, and it's not available for purchase.

BE is not worth subscribing to HBO. I guess I should avoid reading Fark until May to avoid Sherlock spoilers.

I had it junior & senior year of high school...class of 1995 FTW. If I can find a pic, fark it, I'll post it.

Now I just buzz my hair with a #3 and have the wife clean up above the ears & back of the neck. Grow it out for 2-3 months, start spiking or slicking it when it gets long, then buzz it and start over again. Can't be bothered to go to the barber and spend the kind of money it takes to get a decent CONSISTENT hair cut anymore these days.

I just finished watching Game of Thrones last week. I was out of touch, but having something spoiled in a Fark headline still sucks.

/yes, I knew what to expect. In some cases.
//No, nothing was spoiled in a headline for me, but I read a thread I shouldn't have. My own damn fault.

No such thing? You obviously haven't lived in a city with a university/college around. A 22 year old guy wearing an 80s style neon green & pink t-shirt with zippers on it, tweed pantaloons, a girl's Strawberry Shortcake belt, huge black glasses, has massive mutton chop sideburns with a shaved head, and is riding a fixed gear bike with streamers on the handles and a ferret in a basket on the front...that's a hipster.

The costumes these kids would wear, the anachronistic hairstyles chosen just because they looked weird...there was this one guy who wore a crushed velvet cape and sparkling purple leggings every day and he had a bleached yellow pompadour.

I'm behind on season 2, but when Angela and her lesbo friend got whacked by the Jewish butcher, I figured it was gonna happen to Jimmy too.
