The truth is about as useful to these folks as Bob Dole's dick, Tom Delay's voter Registration card, and Bill Clinton's Bar Card. They're politicians.

That's why these are hardly "debates". They're all on the exact same side of the argument (Obama bad! Obama turrible! Country doomed!).

Seriously, they should get farkin Jesse Ventura or something to "moderate" the next debate.

Just so we can see a moderator of these things who has BALLS who could reply to a candidate with a well thought-out "Seriously?! I mean, that's not even CLOSE to the truth. I mean, what the fark are you even talking about?".

Then I'd watch.

can we get some politicians that are better actors please?

I only hear this stuff as clips on the news, and the fake incredulous voice that all the republican candidates affect is bloody annoying. I can only imagine that, if their eyebrows are not firmly welded to their hair line, they've got to be botoxed to hell and back.

I don't really think that's as wild as Romney (and others who call it a moon "colony") are making it out to be. I mean, we've had a flag up there for over 40 years--50 by the end of a hypothetical Gingrich second term--and there could be many benefits to it. China and India are already looking into resource mining on the moon, and it could serve as a launch pad for further space exploration.

I dunno. It would be be more like:

JV: Governer Romney, if elected, would you reveal the hidden messages in the Mormon secret texts that show the Freemason alien are setting us with war against the Iranain Reptilians to determine who will rule Nibru?

MR: I would suppport the American people's interest in making sure our Allies in Isreal are not dominated by Iran.

exploiting resources on the moon is 99% a question of improved robotics.
storing live meat there would be an incredible waste.

unless there is an upheaval in the laws of physics, e.g. antigravity, the only plausible way to exploit the raw sunshine and theoretical resources is robots that can use those to build more robots until industrial qtys

so if you want lots of moon gold invest in a.i. and robotics - not physics constrained rocket ships

In W's defense for the amount he spent he could have only send 4-5 people to Mars; for the same amount he sent thousands to the middle east.

Precisely this. By eliminating the need for life support you eliminate almost all need of constantly supplying the base. Lunar mining will take place with robots, people just take up space, resources, and require constant rotation.

Plus, unless you are going to simply have the moon manufacture things for space only you have to get the resources back to earth in a usuable state.

If you really wanted to do it, you'd land a probe filled with self-replicating drilling, prospecting and tunnel machines. You have the prospectors mine for minerals necessary to make new robots, have the drillers mine water and have the tunnelers make a nice cozy human habitrail inside the moon. When you have enough water, deploy the hydroponics module to start growing food and oxygen producing algae. Wait five years, add humans.

The how is easy, the WHY is harder.

I'd love to see that in the general debate, No moderator, just a truth squad armed with laptops with superfast internet connections and dedicated line to Google for each major subject. The squad would be made up of one person nominated by the Republican candidate, One nominated by the Dem, and a third neutral the two other members of the squad have to mutually agree on. Anytime two out of three of them raise a Red BS flag, the Candidate's mike is cut off and the squad challenges their facts, using cited research sources.

What I love most about Yahoo articles is always the comments section. Here is the top 3 when I visited that article:

OBAMA IS A FRAUD !!! - Yet the articles was about Republicans lying shamelessly. Go figure.
Mr Obama, can you please produce any and all certified birth records including a long form birth certificate. - I think were do not have ENOUGH abortions. Or maybe we need to prevent stupid from breeding?

But the real gem:
TERRORIST ALERT! BEWARE !!!
If you are a constant criticizer of this administration you probably have noticed having problems accessing Yahoo, not being able to post at various times when you can access Yahoo, being able to vote thumbs up or down but not able to post, vice versa, and a myriad of other problems with Yahoo. It has been reported that many people who oppose this administration have even received VIRUSES on their computer. THIS IS FOR REAL !!!! As you probably know, the government now accesses all emails and messages posted whether it's on Yahoo or Google or somewhere else. It is well known Yahoo is leftist. BEWARE !!!
- Yes because you are so bloody special and precious that the Obama Administration is going to take the time and expense, and not just ignore the looney ranting of a internet retard.

I knew there was a lot of dysfunctional retarded and insane morons in this world, but not until the internet did I realize just how many there were. Kind of depressing to think there are so many out there that spend their lives living in constant ignorance and stupidity. They have at their fingertip the greatest resource of human knowledge to this point in our history, yet seem to actually be getting dumber. WTF

Do people honestly think Ron Paul will immediately end the fed and revert to the gold standard on day one causing a global epidemic? Have you even looked at his platform? The idea is to allow competing currencies, hold the fed accountable, and maybe, eventually the fed would be phased out if people chose to accept an alternative currency. But I guess having a private organization with no accountability control money and inflation is more sane
