As long as Gary Hooper is healthy, I wouldn't call them "injured".

I was gonna do a headline about how the Magic had more points in the first half than they did the entire game last time, but then they only scored 25 in the second half and eight (EIGHT!!) in the fourth quarter AT HOME! Truly an epic fail.

I love reading about Dwight Howard's sucking as much as everyone else loves reading about LeBron's bad games.

Howard goes to bench early with fouls - team goes on 30-11 run without him. He comes back in? They start sucking again. Gets beaten down by a damn near decrepit "power" forward (not even a center). Most overrated player in the game - only seems great because there are so few talented physical centers.

That video...wow. KG seems like the type that'll completely lose his mind once his career is over and he struggles to feed his manic competitiveness.

Also, Orlando sucks so bad. No Rondo, No Allen, and you blow this kind of lead? Damn.

He's gonna get his face knocked in one day, talking like that. KG has always talked so much smack, but have you ever seen it when someone gets back in his face? He shrinks, quickly. Takes a step back, and waits until someone gets between him and the other person, then continues talking.

Youtube it your damn self.

I now Howard is overrated, but I still want to see him in a Celtics uniform. Let Allen/Pierce/Moore rain three pointers down and get a physical center to get the rebounds and score. Add that to Rondo's ability to drive to the hoop and dish the ball out, and I think you have a better than average chance of beating any team. Drop KG and start playing Steimsma some more to get his shot going and be able to roam around on D a bit (he isn't a center and shouldn't be trying to guard Howard). Maybe put in JuJuan Johnson for more than 1 minute a game so he can get some playing time as well.

But I'm just a guy sitting on my couch drinking beer and watching.

If it was going to happen it would've happened already.

If KG and Kobe opened a Kobra Kai Dojo after retiring, how much would you have to be paid NOT to go?

I love that Purdue fans love our players for life. If only our teams wouldn't choke so much while in college.

JJ needs to get more playing time.

As a Celtic fan, I love this. Reminds me of the post-Game 6, 2008 Finals interview with Michele Tafoya. (new window) Hell, he even told both of them they looked good mid-interview!

However, also as a Celtic fan, I feel this may be the peak of this season. This is an old team that probably won't be better than 5 games over .500 (i.e. - good enough to make the playoffs, but not good enough to get past the 1st or 2nd round).

/go Celts

Shady_Short_Busser: As a Celtic basketball fan, I love this.

Especially for post players, I'm all for sideline "reporters" running onto the court immediately after the buzzer, grabbing the nearest guy who spend the last 48 minutes battling in the paint and shoving a microphone in their face. The emotion and intensity the game brings out should be on display, it's probably the most appealing aspect of basketball versus the other sports, where half the team spends a majority of the time standing around looking bored.

Only thing I would spring for even faster is a reporter sitting in the penalty box interviewing the receiver of a 5:00 misconduct.

You go to the box, and you feel shame.

And then you get free.

We usually get good kids who earn degrees. Easy to root for them. If that means we never get over the hump to become an elite team, I'm fine with it.

Not arguing if Howard is overrated, but do you think he's the MOST overrated player in the game? I gotta think that's Carmelo, unless of course he's now becoming more properly rated.

That being said, Dwight does have a pretty terrible team to play with. I don't see those guys doing much damage without him around (last night notwithstanding, he was terrible).

There are two kinds of people in this world: People who would opt for Donald Brashear to don a suit, a mic, and interview players sitting in the box for a couple minutes, offering tips on rabbit punching and helping retape the guys fingers for a better jersey grip, and liars.

Well, for most of his career, he has had a pretty good team around him (like would make the playoffs without him good). And Gortat was a pretty damn good backup. Now they've lost a lot of talent so I'm not sure what he's dealing with.

/as for Carmelo, no one tries to consider him for MVP every year because he blocks a lot of balls out of bounds (usually because he doesn't have to worry about covering his guy)

Boston put together a great half but Orlando played miserably.

That was exactly what the Celtics needed. The team looked comfortable on the floor together. The were helping on D and sharing the ball on the offensive end. Their inability to rebound is going to kill them though.

Also, KG talks shiat. This is not news.
