Speaking only from the experience garnered from countless friends, co-workers and acquaintances, if the engagement goes for more than a year, and there's still no date set, it's never going to happen.

I don't see why celebs would be exempt from that generalization.

/ and yes, if this applies to you, it really does apply to you.

Wouldn't this (new window) be more appropriate?

That was NOT nice and easy.

In 2010, Carey dropped 80 lbs., and attributed his significant weight loss to the inspiration of his fiancée and her son, Connor, now 6.

Good for him, I bet he took it to the extreme and it changed who he was from when they first met. I'm all for fitness and being healthy, but if you shouldn't try and force that shiat on your loved ones. She got engaged to a jolly fat fun guy and now she has a guy planning out his tofu meals.

Son of 6 years, engagement of 5 years. Guess he wanted to marry her for the kid's sake and that's it.

At least he says he'll still be part of the kid's life...heck, he's all the kid has known really.

Drew Carey, like Jonah Hill, just looks weird with the massive weight loss. You just wanna shake them and say "WHERE IS THE REST OF YOU!!!"

My ex-wife and I were engaged for a full year and a half before setting the date. Of course, you saw how I referred to her.

The first part is a tuba but the slide at the end is a bunch of other horns, at least one of which is a trombone.

He just wants to follow in Bobs footsteps and bang all the models, and didn't want the guilt of being "committed" while doing it.

Years ago, I was watching the Tonight Show (I'm better now) and Carey was on, and they were talking about how he had been invited to the Playboy Mansion for some reason. He said he brought his girlfriend, and commented that it was "like bringing a burger to a banquet." Yeah, that's marriage material.

Best In The World: "The economic game is not supposed to be rigged like some shady ring toss on a carnival midway." Arianna Huffington

Tha problem wit tha Price Is Right is that the prices are rigged. I have proof 2. I was home sick tha other day and they had a 2011 Mustang as the prize & the person had 2 guess tha price. Bro, that's my car. Same exact model. The price on tha show was $21,250 that's a farking lie, G. I paid $25,474 fo that ride. But that's just the iceberg. Do you know what red lazer is? It's an App on my phone whurrr I can scan items & it'll give me tha price. Well, on 1 of tha games they had Cheese-Its and said they was $4.29. BEEEEEP. Wrong answer. I was eating Cheese-Its at the time so I scanned tha same box they had on TV. $3.50. How can that show operate like that with fake life prices? I can't think of a more frustrating game show. BUT, who don't like tha wheel & tha showcases? I dream of one day owning a trailer that I can convert into a party bus. I'm actually looking into buying something like this

[www.mylightninglimos.com image 640x393]

That 1 right thurrr is $75k used. I can't afford that. But the lot by me has a 1992 Blue Bird Bus with 650k miles on it fo around 9 G's. I could prob swing that and then add some velvet & a stripper pole.

In California everything cost more and in LA County even more and that is where the show is filmed so where they get the price.

California has so many hidden taxes you know so it can support all the people who should not even be here or shh who we are not allowed to complain about supporting.

The 1-year-no-date-equals-no-wedding is just a generalization after all. While I haven't seen it proven wrong in my circle of friends, there are a few who could yet bring my 100% average down.

That won't distress me. It's just a useful rule of thumb.

My parents were engaged for a little over four. But they "set the date" (we'll marry when dad's done with college) right when they got engaged and only picked a specific day on the calendar after he graduated. I think what they're saying is if you're engaged for over a year and you have _no idea_, not even a general one, when you're going to get married ("oh, we're just not ready to set a date yet!"), you're probably doomed.

Prizes on The Price is Right are going to take a dark turn now...

No more giving away family friendly trips to Disneyworld... now it's going to be tours of the Nevada brothels. Children's furniture in the Showcase? Not anymore. Now, it;s going to be hookers and blow.

...wait a minute, that sounds awesome.

Am I the only one ignores best in show or whatever his name is? He shows up to a thread and has a sort of bastard offspring version of Tourette's and bevets and mikelowelle pattern where he lasts a quote, usually tangentially related to the thread at best, and some thing below it.

As far as weight loss, has anyone had any success with clinics? I refuse drugs or surgery, and doubt the fad diets like 'the cookie diet' and things are sustainable.

I'm more interested in a long term solution, and don't have the willpower to do it myself (yes, sugar and fat and sloth are demanding gods). So support network, guidance, direction, someone with a farking beater stick etc.

Sounds like Drew Carey may have found Bob Barker's access pass to 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' (aka TPIR girls.
