What have you done with kirks brain.

Illinois Republican

I'm sure those pieces weren't doing anything, anyway.

A senator's brain isn't really needed, just so long as the corporate donors and lobbyists brains are functioning properly.

I don't like Mark Kirk's policies and I didn't vote for him, but I wish him a healthy and speedy recovery.

And I'm pretty sure he's anti-SOPA, which I like. It's a shame I can't say the same for Dick Durbin.

Now, I bet he is a little DIM after the operation

95% of 1, combined?

Regardless of his stance on SOPA, which he said something to the effect of - "the unintended consequences have trumped the meaning of the bill", I seem to remember that Durbin is one of the most liked Senators?

When part of Gabby's brain was removed, they demanded she resign immediately.

Now that part of a republicans brain was removed, will they do the same?

Sounds about how I feel. Strokes really suck and he seemed pretty young to get one.

What is with Durbin and SOPA anyway, for the most part I really like the guy, but he dropped the ball on this.

I have absolutely no idea. I've called his office and let him know that I'm extremely disappointed that he's a cosponsor. It's sad because I know alot of people who were jaded by politics but still respected Dick Durbin, but have called to let him no they no longer support him and will no longer vote for him.

Honestly, I haven't heard of this story anywhere but Fark. Usually when a sitting US senator has a major medical issue, it's all over the news. Even MSNBC's Morning Joe (where I've seen Mark Kirk as a guest more than a few times) hasn't mentioned it. Odd...

/Not questioning the veracity of the story
//Just strange that no one's mentioning it

West_Side_Charlie: 95% of 1, combined?

So let's see...there's Durbin and Kirk. And 5% of Kirk's brain is smarter than all of Durbin's brain, so that means that Kirk's brain is like, four times smarter than Durbin's brain.

Of course not. It only matters when it's the other party doing it.

/Still wishing Kirk the best of luck despite some of the dumb things he has done

Mark Kirk is a good man. Lets hope he has a speedy recovery.

/And I agree...he's probably still 4 to 5 times smarter than Dick Durbin.
