To be fair, Newt has said that quoting him is considered lying. So... there's that.

I loved how in the debate, Newt claimed he wasn't speaking specifically about Spanish, but about all languages. So according to Newt Gingrich, any language outside of English is ghetto language. And English is never used in ghettos.

He also feigned outrage that Mitt's income sources were brought up in debate after he brought them up in numerous interviews and statements.

I really do hate Newt Gingrich.

"Kids should learn English so they have better job opportunities in the real world. Immersion is a proven effective language learning technique"

I listened to the ad and all I heard was booga booga muslin speak.

The reason he didn't choose the former is that has as one of it's basic assumptions that the speaker wants Spanish speaking children to be successful and integrated into the melting pot of American society. It's clear from their language that people who speak another language or look different are "the other" and are to be rejected.
